I appreciate brick and mortar stores at this online shopping era. It's nice to have quick in person shopping, but also get to see books and equipments before buying them. They are also very competitive and efficient for bringing in books that may not have been currently in stock.

Great selection, but for going in when there was zero other customers. I only had a single employee in the audio section even acknowledging someone was in the store, it was rather sad considering the Nanaimo location (where I am from) has such better service spite having half the staff and products out.

This was the place where my dad bought my clarinet decades ago (in their former location). My mother damaged it badly (she actually cleaned the instrument with household cleaners when I explicitly told her to keep out) and the staff were able to replace all the pads. The repair cost was a bit of an ouch and it took twice as long as I originally anticipated to be fixed but it was done beautifully and thank goodness my daughter had a free loaner through her school during the wait. Now she's playing the clarinet like a brand new instrument.The staff were nice enough to allow my children to handle all sort of instruments every visit. Normally I'd be leery to have them handle anything unless they expressed great interest in purchasing but they encouraged them to try, especially my younger daughter who is trying to figure out which instrument to specialize for next year.

Depends on who you get but the last few times I've tried to rent things from there the sales person lied about not having wireless mics in stock just because they were too lazy to put through our order. He even charged us an expensive holding fee a month prior and then didn't even put our order together. I sent someone else in the same day and luckily they got a different person that was able to put the order together for us. The original guy wasted both our time and money.You can get far better deals and far better service going somewhere else, which is very unfortunate because my company has had an account since the 70s.We still go there for last minute rentals but it's not always a pleasant experience.

Best place to purchase guitars, sheet music, and any type of instrument you need for a band! Prices are always the best and equipment rentals are outrageous....cheap! Helpful and friendly staff even when it's super busy.

My colleague andI went in today to rent a sound system for a charitable fund raising and we had the pleasure of being helped by a cheerful employee. His customer service skills were phenomenal and knew exactly what we needed. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with ease. I would highly recommend coming here! It was so cool to come in to the store and be immediately greeted with a smile and friendly hello. He even recommended insurance for the items we rented just to be on the safe side if something happens that we gladly got.
