Bassano Growers Ltd

I bought a 15 pound bag of Bassano Russet Potatoes on June 17 at Costco in Okotoks for baking. I was having a large group of people in for dinner. In preparation of scrubbing and wrapping each potatoe, I was very disappointed to find over half the bag was rotten. I wasn’t even able to cut off enough of the rotten spots to make it possible to eat. As a result it was out to buy a fresh bag from Safeway. I would have returned had I time however I didn’t have the time. I have used Bassano potatoes for over 50 years and of late I have found them to be very poor quality, and have been very disappointed. This was the last straw. What has happened? I will be buying other brands if possible going forward.

We bought a 5 lb bag of Bassano Gold at No Frills in Dawson Creek, BC. The potatoes are very good. But my favorite is the bag they came in. There is a wealth of information on the back of the bag, illustrated in a humorous way. The information they provide is probably more than most people know. Thanks for the info.

Purchased 5 lbs bag of potatoes. Had 3 large sunburned potatoes and one rotten potato!

Great place for vegetable storage! These guys really know their stuff when it comes to keeping vegitables crisp and fresh!
