Tanuki Kyoto Sushi
It was my first time and I loved it, the atmosphere was beautiful, food quality is amazing, service was kind and helpful, although the place was busy at dinner time, they did an amazing job. I tried all you can eat, everything was delicious, my favorites were tempura and masago. Warm sake at the beginning was perfect and delightful.I’ll definitely come back and make a reservation for the small rooms they have. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tanuki Kyoto Sushi
Price is responsible.Foods are fresh and nice.The thick piece of sashimi.And I don't see many Japanese restaurants that have Japanese Herring sashimi. They do have it, I m very surprised.But the grill ika is very dyed. Very hard to chewy it. But the dipping sauce is good.Will come again

Tanuki Kyoto Sushi
This Japanese restaurant has been here for a long time. First visit a few years ago, came back on Mar 4, 2023. Interior is much much unchanged, but I noticed lots of take out boxes stacked on the counter. It’s rarely seen in a decent restaurant, so I’m worry about the food quality. I only give 3 stars because I’m disappointed with the sushi rice which would the most important thing to a Japanese restaurant. The seasoning is ok, but the texture is no good. The platting of chirashi don is terrible. I won’t be back.

The food is delicious, but it takes a long time for the food to be served, The pricing is pretty good $42 ayce, it comes with can-pop drinks, the accurate score would be 4.5 stars on this review. Will come back again

Love Uni? Go here! Weekends only, call first, it goes fast! The servers are always friendly! We really enjoy the atmosphere here and the food is very fresh and tasty. I am unaware of any other restaurants that serve uni. It is a favourite!

Tanuki Kyoto Sushi
I have been here for the 5th time but the food is still pricey. Recently they made buffet to some specific days and time, though food is worth but we have to wait for so long before staff notices it. They usually accommodate the big group first than smaller group like 2 or 4 people. I can say it might not be bad to try on the days that aren't busy but maybe better than what I have always experienced.

We came at 6pm and we waited till 6:30pm the lady came and gave us a menu. She came back at almost 7pm to take the order. 7:15 1 dish out of 4 dishes came first then we waited for another 15 minutes for another dishes. It took too much waiting time as we came at 6pm and we done at 8:30pm.The food weren’t fresh special salmon on sushi rolls.Hopefully the manager will take care of that.

Not a bad place to eat, food was good, prices not bad and comparable to other Japanese restaurants. Service was very slow though. They appear to be understaffed like most places these days. I wasn't aware they had an all you can eat option which looks intriguing. Saw other patrons enjoying some Japanese hotpot which I think is part of the all you can eat. Also, be sure to wash your hands after handling the menus, they are falling apart and dirty. Printed during the feudal era I'm guessing....

First off, Tanuki Kyoto Sushi is a delightful surprise. From its humble entrance, one wouldn't realize how spacious the interior is. They have a warm ambiance, different types of seatings and even the traditional room for larger groups. The staff is attentive and polite. The food is fairly priced, fresh seafood with delectable taste in decent portions of toppings over rice.It could have been a full 5 star experience except I got tummy ache shortly later. On hindsight, it could be partially my fault: I asked for a glass of water and the waitress probably served me tap water which doesn't mesh well with raw fish in my sensitive stomach.I'm still willing to give Tanuki a try again.

I recently revisited Tanuki Kyoto that had recently changed to an all-you-can-eat menu, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The restaurant managed to maintain its exceptional menu quality, all while providing its patrons with a fantastic all-you-can-eat menu option.After taking a few minutes to peruse the menu, I decided to go with the all-you-can-eat option, which proved to be an excellent decision. The menu offered a vast array of sushi and sashimi, along with several hot dishes, including tempura and some grilled items.The quality of the sushi was exceptional, with each piece being incredibly fresh and delicious. The hot dishes were equally fantastic, with the tempura being perfectly crispy and the short ribs being juicy and flavorful.if you're a fan of sushi or Japanese cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. The all-you-can-eat menu is an excellent option for those looking for a fantastic dining experience without breaking the bank. With its exceptional food quality, excellent service, and reasonable prices, this restaurant is an absolute gem that should not be missed.
