As an Indonesian, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience eating here. I think that this restaurant is better than what Vancouver has by far. My favorite dish would be the Iga Bakar which was seasoned really well. The gado gado was quite spicy which I enjoyed. The sate ayam belacan was good, but I wished i could taste the belacan more. Would totally recommend this place !

Delicous food and good service. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Cocktails are good, but nothing to write home about. Good wine list. Can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is gluten free!

Delicious food and nice place. Waiters are super friendly, and choices are varied and yummy. Some of the choices may be a bit spicy for some clients, although I personally found everything on pointAl food items are gluten-free, even the fried dishes, so it was a treat for my coeliac wife

Deciding the stars for me is very bias. I am an Indonesian and expecting the original and authentic Indonesian or at least Malayan food. If you also expecting so, then you can lower your expectation.First of all, I love the resto decorations, cute, funky, chick and has enough Malay vibe. The menu list is pretty good, superb Malay Indonesian. The food presentation is awesome . However seems that this resto concept is fusion food, so you will not find original and authentic Indonesian Malaysian flavour. I found that its better to not having Malay/Indonesian flavour expectation before, so you will find that the food is okay and unique.About the drink, hmm honestly, we do not really satisfy for the cocktail. So we do not really recommend for the drink (2 out of 5)And last, about the price, its not too bad. But the portion is very small, so you might be end up with 6 kind of food or more.Overall, its a nice resto if you want to experiencing the South East Asia culinary.

Hip and trendy spot with a variety south-east Asian inspired cocktails and small tapas style dishes to share. We dropped by on a Friday evening, and were glad to have reserved because the restaurant filled up really quickly. Service was attentive and efficient. The cocktails were interesting, we really enjoyed the « pandan riz », really smooth and creamy. The pomelo cocktail was delicious until it soaked up the piece of kombu seaweed that came with it, and took on a salty taste.Go with the satay daging skewers, they were juicy and flavourful. We also got the whole fried fish (they were out of snapper so we were offered dorade(sea bream?) instead for 35$. The fish turned out to be quite small and dry but the duo of dipping sauces were very good. The mushrooms were deep fried and had soaked up a lot of oil.All in all, a good experience. :)

Overall, we had a good time at this Indonesian/Malaysian restaurant. The food was good, especially the fried mushroom dish, which I highly recommend trying. The chef was friendly and attentive, and our dishes arrived promptly. The staff were also friendly, although we did have to remind them a few times to bring us the bill. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience, and I would definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try!

Found this restaurant while walking on Mont Royal ave and was impressed by the food quality and friendly service. They were serving the lunch menu and everything was very flavourful; the chicken texture was amazing and the beef was on point. Will definitely come back to try their dinner menu.

SO DELICIOUS. This place has only been open a few weeks and will blow up for sure. Reasonably priced for the incredible quality, trendy “open kitchen” atmosphere, and absolutely delicious flavour palettes. Our favourites were the chicken satay, fried chicken, and duck yolk tofu. The chocolate durian pudding was surprising and won our hearts too!AND - the entire menu is gluten free.

WOW.Would you believe chocolate-durian pudding works? Do you want to taste flavour combinations that North Americans rarely get to try? Satu Lagi is the place to go.We decided to go over and try it on the 2nd night after its soft opening on Valentine's Day 2023. We are SO glad we did.Indo-Malay cuisine is fabulous. This place does it proud.I tend to write reviews only when I am incredibly impressed by an establishment. I've been guilty of being overly enthusiastic before, so I will try to tone down my hyperbole here, just to say that Satu Lagi is really one of the best new restaurants in town. Owners Kimberley and Kevin have already created the best SE Asian takeout place in Montréal (Krapow), nearby. In the Malay language and in Bahasa Indonesia satu lagi" means "one more" or "another" and whether this is a play on words (it's "one more" restaurant for this couple)
