Love this lab. The staff are efficient, friendly, respectful, and detailed.My doctor had forgotten to mark on the form that I am pregnant. And the guy at reception noticed it and asked me quietly.Best lab experience I've had of the several I've been to. Thank you!Update:Changing my 5 star review to 3 due to the rude reception today. Not the same one I had last time. Some staff are still professional, but this reception/ technician is unprofessional.My 2nd visit, I had booked a save my spot and the wait time indicated 89 minutes. Which is well over an hour. (My appointment was at 2:04pm and I arrived 12:57pm)However, once I arrived. I was told to wait 50 minutes!!!! She didn't even take my lab paperwork.What is the point in using save my spot. When you would need to wait the same as a walk-in???

This place is always short of staff and big lineup at the door. No proper protocol to avoid spread of viruses. There are only two ladies juggling with multiple tasks, and most of the time counter is empty. LifeLabs should hire more people and get bigger facility to handle the crowd. This is simply unacceptable.

Very nice and courteous staff! There was a bit of a lineup in the morning, but the employee who came out took our information and processed us very quickly.I let the blood tech know I sometimes get woozy when having blood tests done, and unfortunately this turned out to be one of those times. They didn’t rush me, I felt safe and they checked on me until I recovered. (I noticed they are also very considerate to trans patients.)I’m really glad this place is in my neighbourhood, and I won’t be dreading the next time I need a test done.

I went to the 54th Ave, Vancouver branch of Lifelabs, and was blown away by the level of service provided by Winnie and every other staff I interacted with during the visit. I was immediately greeted by Winnie upon entering the office, and I was checked-in in less than 1 minute! Through out the visit I observed her sanitizing every chair as the clients left them, all the time multitasking greeting clients with answering questions and comforting those that needed it. As I was getting ready to be seated for the sample extraction, she made sure that the chair was dry after sanitizing it! What a magical human being! I hope Lifelabs realize what a diamond they have hired.I have been using the 10th Ave Branch for over 2 years and I have dreaded every visit to that place. My decision to try the 54th Ave branch this morning has completely changed my perception of Lifelabs. I had given up hope on ever being treated decently by Lifelabs after using the 10th Ave branch for over 2 years. “Most” of the staff there appeared over worked and uncaring, plus we have to deal with pay parking (parking is free at the 54th Ave branch), which can amount to over $10 because the wait time for walk-in can be over 3 hours (I have always tried to book appointments online but it is always FULL). I had also tried the Victoria Drive branch ONCE, GOT YELLED AT FOR ASKING FOR HELP, and I never went back there again.I hope the Manager for the 54th Ave branch can forward this message to the CEO of the company so he can see how this branch has succeeded where others have failed so miserably. I believe one of the major cause for the seemingly uncaring attitude is because staff are over worked, but I suspect failure to screen and hire the right people may also be a big factor. Winnie had worked with the hotel industry previous, Lifelabs should hire more people like her, they are already well trained by the hotel industry, and lifelabs should cash in on the customer's service skills of people like Winnie.Note, I have never seen a single chair sanitized by staff at the 10th Ave branch!!!!!!!!!

My wife always comes to this location for blood tests. The staff there are friendly and helpful. This place is short of staff sometimes.I think this location adds one new staff for checking in clients. She is friendly and helpful. She checks in with everyone and makes sure that everyone is safe to enter the location. Then she makes sure everyone are count and on the right lineup.She sanitizes all the seats once it was occupied. Thanks for her help and hope she works happily there.

Made an appointment, got there early, lined up and told this rude lady that I had an appointment at 1:55pm, ended up waiting for 15 minutes. I then asked another employee at the front when I was getting in and was then told that the lady forgot to press “arrive” so they totally forgot about me.Thank you to “Jayme” at front desk for being patient and kind. He was the only positive experience I encountered at this place. That lady on the other hand was incredibly rude and incompetent.For anyone making an appointment online, make sure to ask if they clicked “arrive” on their computer to prevent having to wait around.

Worst lifelabs location Ive been to. This review is definitely not me complaining about the staff because I actually felt bad for them. But whoever is managing this location somewhere from an HR office should come take a look and make some much needed changes to make it a better experience for both the staff and patients. First off it’s waaay understaffed. The staff look terribly stressed and tired of having to deal with complaining patients. I came in on a Tuesday before opening and there was already a huge line up. I was probably like 10th in line and the lady told me to come at 10:50am (this was at 8am). This sucked because it meant I had to fast for even longer. So I came back at 10:45 and checked in. They didn’t have any rooms open (or just didn’t get to cleaning the rooms that just got vacated) so they told me to wait. I thought it was going to be like 5 minutes but no… I waited until about 11:15 when I finally got a room. There’s not enough seating in the waiting room because of social distancing so there was a bunch of people waiting in the hall (despite the signs of other offices telling us not to stand in the hall - well where else are we supposed to wait?). Just a total disorganized mess (again not blaming the staff). Another unrelated issue I had was that after I got my blood test my arm actually still hurt like 5 or 6 days after I got it, which has never happened to me before in the many blood tests I’ve done in my life. I didn’t do any physical activity or anything to trigger the pain, it just hurt in the area where the nurse drew blood and actually started bleeding again the day after I got it. I’m squeamish of blood so this was pretty unpleasant for me, not sure what could have caused this… anyway, this was my first and last time at this location. I would recommend to anyone to avoid this location if you can.

I visited this location for the first time today and I am very happy with the service. I was a bit leery at first after reading all the negative reviews. But my appointment was handled quickly and efficiently. My blood was drawn expertly and proficiently. Perhaps Covid has eliminated the crowds and the stressed-out employees, because I saw none of that here. Combined with easy parking at Champlain Mall, this is now my location of choice!
