A decided throw back in time. Not trendy. Not fancy. Honest quality, good service and the prices are super reasonable. The food is good. We will go back as it feels so homey

I had high hopes for the Danish Canadian Club’s ‘Mermaid Inn’ restaurant after reading countless positive reviews online, and was looking forward to dining at one of their ‘Smorg’ buffet dinners the other month. The restaurant’s dining room was very quaint in an old-world European way, and the staff really were lovely and very personable. However, the food was just not very good. Keep in mind, my party had forked over $45.00 per person for this little sojourn, so when we were met with a limited overall selection, bland meats and vegetables and lukewarm offerings, we were understandably not very impressed. The dessert selection was unfortunately the most flavorful part of the night. Surely for $45 a head, coffee was included? Think again. Look, this place has great potential, and perhaps the a la carte options are (hopefully) substantially better, but do yourself a favor and avoid the Smorg dinner. Your tastebuds and your wallet will thank you.

Was a pleasure to provide technology for a video production here. Only reason I gave it four stars as opposed to five is because their audio system is rather antiquated and Peter (in house building manager) did not allow me to change anything in order to collect an audio feed. Otherwise great people, cool and helpful staff! Hope to be back again one day!

Good menue choices, great service and comfortable atmosphere. Free parking beside facility. Can be busy but well worth a visit.

Very neat little spot! The staff were incredibly friendly and the menu definitely showcased Denmarks unique dishes! We tried the Frikadeller and the Seafood Platter and the herring was so interesting in flavors. Really homey and cozy environment!

We have been regular customers for many years. The interior is attractive and down-home, true to a cozy European style. The service is excellent--always friendly, attentive, and prompt, yet we never feel rushed and are welcome linger with our friends. Before pandemic lockdowns, once a month the restaurant had a small but excellent buffet which added to the choice and atmosphere. Like other places they are struggling to recover and it's a la carte only now. Still a good European menu with a Danish flair.

This is an awesome Danish restaurant in downtown Calgary. Super food. Enjoyed very much.Nice friendly staff, and nice atmosphere.. Try the dark beers they are awesome..Love this place

Just love coming here for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Food is authentic and delicious, staff always very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is so hygge, feels like being back home!

Loosen your belt and go old world at this cozy restaurant! Very good value for the cost. The brunch buffet is incredible...you can’t go wrong! The omelette station is amazing and the aebleskiver are truly yummy. The Mermaid Platter is can feed two with an assortment of cheese, cold cuts and seafood on traditional breads. The Crepes Copenhagen is very tasty!
