First Choice Haircutters

I cannot believe I didn't read reviews first. The company should not be allowed for just anyone to carry their name. When asking for a trim, she took off 3-5inches, bangs were cut when asked for no bangs, and to top things off was rude and rushing and didn't bother blending. A STUDENT would NOT have been allowed to do what she did. Absolutely zero blending and uneven I havent stopped crying and trying to fix it myself! Appalled and wish people had more respect for their craft and paying customers. Disgusted

I brought my kids (11 & 7) for cuts. They stylists informed us that the prices had increased the previous evening. I did not realize that we were going to be gouged for basic cuts. My 11 year old who is now considered an adult was charged 30$ for a cut. No wash, no style. A trim and thinning out her hair. The total was 56$ for 2 kids. Not including tip. Never again will we go here.

I stopped in 525 and was told the one and only customer was the last person she was taking. If your open till 6 stay open till 6. I had to drive into Hamilton 20 mins away where they took me in right away.

I tried booking online and it doesn't work. I try calling multiple times and it goes to a voicemail that isn't set up. So I go to the store at 5pm; open sign lit up, lights on, hours say they are open until 6pm but the door is locked with no note indicating that someone will be back at such-and-such time.Jeez, I just want to get my kid a haircut, it really shouldn't be that hard. I won't be attempting to use this place again.

Absolutely overpriced. I brought in my 9 month old for a 5 minute trim to catch the fly aways (no trimming around ears or style or water) and I was charged $25 and asked to put down a tip.

My mother came to this establishment for a regular hair cut today and was really disappointed. First off the hair dresser was very rough in yanking her hair to brush out some knots. Second off my mother was told, due to COVID, they couldn’t wash her hair. I couldn’t believe the service she received, and bless her heart, she couldn’t be rude and walk out even after the overwhelming conversations about COVID and politics and Mr. Trudeau. The only inappropriate topic the hair dresser didn’t bring up was religion.I didn’t believe what my mom was told so I immediately called another local hairdresser and asked if washing their clients hair was restricted, quickly I was told no- masks are worn, and that’s all the required. I can’t recommend this place, it’s worth the $ and the professional experience to go somewhere else.

Never again. I went in with hair down to my bum and curly. Asked to have a wash and cut, no layers, no thinning out, nothing just a cut. My hair is now at my shoulders, EXTREMELY thin, my hair is falling out, uneven and I have short patches of hair at the back that aren’t even an inch long. Went in to ask for my money back and they looked at my hair and all they could offer was to cut it shorter!!!! $65 for botched hair!!!! I didn’t catch the stylists name but she had red and black hair and couldn’t offer any solution other than to cut it even shorter.
