It's been a few years since we were at Black Salt and it still has excellent food! We love their Tapas, and their polenta fries are a favourite of ours!

Superb food incl. homemade drinks, perfect caprese salad, tasty veg burgers and skinny fries, luscious deserts that say mmmm as you bite into them and spot-on macchiato and flat white. I can’t recall a more consistent run of quality food. No need for any other reason to stop in Crawford Bay.

Unbelievable food and presentation....The avo toast is brilliant the fries" were beautiful and fun to eat....mojito pie is to die for....And so is the chocolate cin square....The presentation is beautiful and practical....Our server was great friendly and polite... I think her name was Allie.But despite all the wonderful stuff the cook was in the kitchen and you can hear her bitchin.... Nobody wants to hear that...Nobody wants to an adult be little another and have a temper tantrum like a child..."

Menu is creative and food very fresh and well prepared. Prices are very good. Service was pleasant and prompt. The outdoor patio is filled with an assortment of potted plants and flowers and nicely spaced intimate tables. So awesome, we took the BC Ferry (Balfour to Crawford Bay)two days later, to repeat! AMAZING.

A fantastic place to eat. I had the smoked meat sandwich and my wife had a great chicken salad. You can sit outside in a beautiful garden. Highly recommended and if you come from Nelson on the ferry it is easy to get to.

Highly recommend. A go to place when in Crawford Bay. Amazing atmosphere and patio. The tapas and desserts are first class. The staff are very friendly and helpful.When you go to this little gem you need to take time as they are short staffed; similar to many other places during the pandemic reopening era.

I ordered the epic panini and fries. It was really good. I could tell that the veggies were very fresh. Good vibe, artwork, nice patio area, well landscaped. Artistic place with good vibes. My only complaint was the wait time for our food was long because they were busy. Be aware that because this is a popular place peak times are going to be busy. Other than that two thumbs up!
