I ordered delivery today, my first time trying Haru BBQ. The food was packed very well, super hot and fresh. I ordered a salmon combo box and an extra order of mandoo.The portions for the salmon combo box are huge, especially for the price! I was expecting half as much salmon as there was. Lots of variety in the combo box--japchae, tempura, spring rolls, mandoo, salad, soup, rice, little side dishes, dipping sauces, and a protein [salmon in my case]. Loved everything and will definitely get food here again!

They have a very busy night when were there. Customer service was fine but not great. I especially love Korean food. Thankfully, there is some here in Nanaimo.For me the food was fine. I love it.You need to reserved a table. So, wouldn't worry to be accommodated. When we were there, I thought my husband did not booked our table. Thus, the lady told us, that they cannot accommodate us.It was our wedding anniversary. I felt so bad when she told us , Sorry.My husband was outside looking for a parking spot. Since, it was so hard to park there that time.When we went out, my husband told us that we got a reservation. We went back to the restaurant again. The lady was puzzled. I told her my mistake we got our reservation.

What a serendipity!Food were all good and enough to fill our empty stomach. Very kind service and affordable price in the tour city.Clean and cozy interior.Must visit if you like Korean style cuisine!(The owner as a chef is Korean lady)Plus, you can spend some time other shops in the mall. Unique style gift shop and bakery, we loved the healthy and yummy bread there, too.We will definitely go again when we visit Nanaimo.

Came here yesterday and seeing all the raving reviews thought it would be a nice place to try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great experience.I ordered the beef bulgogi with cheese, and it just wasn’t very good. The meat was tough and not very flavourful. I think they used some sort of cheddar blend cheese (I’m not sure exactly what it was) which made the dish very greasy. Aside from everything else, the absolute worst part of the meal was the “vegetables”. I expected broccoli, carrots, cabbage, etc, but they put an ENTIRE onion on my plate (not even mentioned on the menu). It was unevenly chopped and was barely cooked. Made the meal very hard to eat.None of my family liked their dishes either. Although the restaurant itself was nice in terms of aesthetic, the food, prices, and customer service were all subpar. I’d go somewhere else if you’re looking for a good meal.

Lunch was above and beyond our expectations, staff was incredibly helpful, attentive, and friendly. Pictured is the spare rib bento box style lunch, man doo dumplings, & the spicy Korean fried chicken & vegetables. They’re so many other menu item I wanted to try! We will definitely be back in the near future.

This was our first experience at Haru. The portions were plentiful, fresh and extremely tasty. Staff was super friendly and our rather large order was ready in 20 mins. This may have been our first time here but we are already planning our next meal!

Hidden gem! Every meal came with its own side dishes, and everything was reasonably priced. We’ve had many, many Korean meals, and this did not disappoint! We finished every single thing off each of the 5 dishes we tried.
