Starlight Casino

It's a newly renovated place for live music & dancing. It's the first time for me here but it's quite impressive. It's got a pretty spacious dance floor. It had some 80s, 90s & some current popular music played by the musicians. Food & drink were reasonably good. Will definitely visit again, I totally recommend this place at the Red Bar.

My wife had a 10% discount coupon for the buffet, which brought the price down to about 400% of what it would take for me to even consider going back. Bourbon Street Grill in the mall food court is far (far!) better than this. Fully half the food appears to be straight out of the frozen food section at the grocery store. I went mainly for the roast beef, which was about the same as what you'd get buying a pack of roast beef luncheon meat from Costco and warming it up in the microwave. You can't charge $30 a person for food you'd expect in a school (or prison) cafeteria.

Went for dinner to the buffet..food not hot enough, cold noodles, and had a hard time finding seating for three, since what tables were free, were covered in garbage from the previous diners..could definitely be cleaner. Also, not sure what genius decided to have a smoking area built next to the buffet. The doors leading to the smoking section are not air tight..I was able to see sunlight through the cracks all around the door, and get second hand smoke with every bite..not to mention the smell of pot. My mum and aunt were thrilled..other than that, staff friendly and helpful as always.

$29 weekend buffet with roast and fried chicken as the main staples. Not a great deal if you can’t eat much as there’s really not much of a selection. More table games than Hardrock and better drinks as the coffee lady can get you beer too! Washroom is a mess tho. 3 diamonds has 15% discount on food; not much but it is a great gesture for sure. Way better than hard rock hence the extra star as the other places don’t even offer it or took it away.

It's a fun place to come relax and have fun. The food is always great. My husband and his family always love coming here every week to play.

Location is not the best here but it does allow for ample amounts of parking. This is a good sized casino with both a large selection of dealer based and electronic games. The facility is kept clean including the bathrooms. The staff, especially security are very helpful and friendly, greeting you when you arrive and wishing you well when you depart. There is plenty to play and do here with a large bar and live entertainment on the weekend nights. I did notice security patrolling the parking lot which was fantastic as it makes your visit that much more inviting. The floor staff could be a littlemore welcoming but I found some would greet and speak with you in an effort to help make your experience a good one and others would just walk past you and not say a thing. There is a kitchen here however I did not eat any of the food. This is one of the better casinos I have visited in the lower mainland and definitely worth checking out.

Now in all casinos, they need to see 1-2 of your identity with a picture at the door. I love the idea that Starlight Casino has some coffee machines and tea machines on the counter for people to help themselves as the people who serve coffee, tea, and soft drinks are not always around. I'm sure they are but they have a big round to serve many people in a big Casino so it's nice to be able to have a cup of coffee or a cup of tea at my convenience. One thing i miss is that they use to offer a free complimentary dinner once a month to the people who are celebrating their birthdays that month and they haven't resume this habit yet. Also when you register your card at the entrance of the casino they used to give two for one dinners at the open buffet and it's no longer available. Besides that they used to send to our emails coupons and they don't do that after the casino was open after covid crisis has stopped. Overall it is a good place to go and have some fun especially on weekends when there are some music and dance, you can meet your friends and make a good outing out of it or do a birthday celebration there.

I had fun even though couldn’t put anything in my pocket. For the first time, I played roulette yesterday and the cashier thought me the rules properly. Thanks and sorry if I asked questions a bit much. The kiosk display at the entrance was good :)In general, I didn’t encounter something negative.

Nice smaller casino with slots and table games. Friendly staff and clean washrooms. Shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet but nice.
