Metro Green Dryclean and Alterations

I took a chance on this place despite terrible reviews. I left 4 items for dry cleaning and they separated them and lost one pair of pants. First they called to say I had to pay extra when I collect them, then when I went to collect them they charged me the extra money but only gave 3 items back. Then they tried to convince me that I actually only left 3 pieces until I noticed my pants hanging up on the rack in the back and they gave me them back to me. My clothes were not clean when I looked at them when I got home either. The staff are rude as well. Take your stuff literally anywhere else. I'd give zero stars if I could.

They altered some pants for me and it was well priced however one leg came undone. They fixed it at no cost and with no hassle so I would recommend them.

Brought in a blouse and jacket for dry cleaning and stain removal, cost $40 but none of the stains were taken out :( There were actually new marks (sticky spots like from tape) that were not there before..

Edit: Gave this place a second chance and they double creased the lapel of my vest. It was so obvious. Whoever is pressing needs to be retrained.Original post: First they handed my husband the wrong clothes, thankfully I got mine back but somebody else’s did take a trip to my home. When I took my clothes off the hanger I realized that they had totally ironed a double crease into both legs of my wool trousers. The back left leg crease is slanted and noticeably off centre and visibly different from the other leg (which is also not correct but less so). The person pressing doesn’t seem to have a clue about the correct placement of a crease along the centre grain line of the fabric (which can be double checked with an old fashioned measurement) or how to remove an old crease line. It doesn’t ruin the pants as I easily removed both creases myself but fixing it myself didn’t save me the time and effort I was paying for, nor indicate the attention to detail or expertise I expected. This would have been a total pain if I had been trying to fix this in a hotel room while on work related travel.

It is my first time to use the alternation service with Metro Green. I bought a dress skirt with a back zipper in which the waist band is needed to be taken in. I didn’t know what to expect. Today, I picked up the skirt and tried it on at home, and found that it fitted me perfectly. I am very happy with the tailor’s measuring and sewing skills. They provide great customer services too.

Cited almost $200 to clean two dresses with nothing particularly exciting or difficult about them. No visible price menu, and reading reviews suggest completely different prices are being offered to others.

I've been there a few times for simple hem jobs which were okay, nothing special. Took a dress to get taken in at several spots and the work was not done well (several stitches were not straight or puckered), the service wasn't great when dropping it off and the cost was way too expensive for the quality of work they did. I've had outfits taken in before by other companies who have sent them off to be dry cleaned or at the very least ironed the outfit as part of the cost but they didn't do either and the dress was completely wrinkled when I got it back.I won't be going back even for simple pant hemming or recommending them to anyone.

Dropped off 4 sweaters for dry clean, 2 of the sweaters that I known had loose stitches before I dropped off, but those 2 came back fine ( the original loose part), but one of them got a hole in the v neck area now !?!? One and my most expensive sweater of the 4 came back with a huge hole on it. And I can’t go back and argue since I did not check them when I picked up. Just want to let ppl know, check before and after in front of the staff. Was gonna give 0 star but part of my fault that I didn’t check when I picked up the sweaters in front of the staff, so add one more star. [update] put on one of the sweater and found another huge hole on it！

Would NOT recommend. Expensive and the staff said a specific alteration was included in the quoted price but when I went to pick up. They said it wasn't included and charged me an extra $30 for the alterations. There is also no discounts given for multiple suits or alterations. If you can find a place that gives discounts for multiple articles of clothing I would suggest going there. There are also MULTIPLE other dry-clean and alteration locations at Metrotown so take 2 minutes to look it up on Google and go there instead
