The pizza was really delicious honestly best pizza I’ve ever had like seriously amazing and in a nice setting as well. Unfortunately we got the worst service we have ever experienced in Canada, as our server was extremely sarcastic, annoyed and unhelpful and we were very confused and honestly stunned by his behaviour which really put a big damper on our experience. To give an example, the people that showed up after we ordered (2 different tables) were finished eating before we got our food and had payed their bill by the time we got it, and they ordered pizzas just like us (we just got 2 pizzas and no drinks). When we asked him how long it would be till we got our food he sarcastically answered “as you can see we’re very busy”. This was after he made multiple other rude comments. So it honestly felt like our waiter had something against us for some reason even though we are polite and not difficult at all and maybe there’s an explanation but it did seem like he held our food back on purpose. I don’t know what caused this for us but I don’t believe this place generally has such terrible service, we were probably just unlucky so you will probably have a nice time if you like pizza.

The ambiance was great and the decoration is quite nice.We ordered the meatballs to share as an appetizer, and they were good. Then we wanted to order each the tortellini, but there was a misunderstanding, and we got a plate to share. We didn't mind too much since it meant we could try one of their delicious pizzas. The tortellini were a special dish and honestly the veggies and soup weren't super flavourful, the tortellini were great. We ended up eating the Marinara pizza, which was amazing! I would definitely recommend coming here for their pizzas

Amazing food, even better service!! We had a pizza and a pasta dish and shared. The Calabrese pizza was so interesting and delicious, definitely recommend! The maitre d’ was super friendly, and our waitress was very attentive - she didn’t leave us even 5 minutes with an empty water glass before refilling them. Highly recommend!

Delicious pizza and quick service. Coming back for sure.Edit: second time here and did not disappoint. I will say that the olive oil cake was pretty average and didn’t taste super fresh, so not worth the 12 dollars. The pizzas were delicious.

This is one of the best Italian resto in Montreal. They have various menus and the quality of the food is excellent. We order pasta for our dinner and we loooove it. The cocktail is surprisingly amazing. Besides the delicious food and amazing drinks, they have wonderful staff. He explained everything clearly and he knew what should we try for our dinner. The ambiance is also exceptional. They have cute terrace spot in wellington street.Overall, everything is perfect, and sure we are recommending this resto for your evening in Montreal.

The food was good, it came quite quickly as well. It’s nice that they share Rita’s story, nice family touch. We went on a Wednesday night and it was quite full, a lot of people were coming and going while we were there.I just feel like there was missing some ambiance, more moody lighting or even music. Which is odd since the place is nicely decorated.

Rita is a gem in Verdun. If you're a local, you're lucky to have such an amazing institution right in your backyard. If you're a tourist, you'll find amazing food, a great terrace, and staff that makes you feel welcome just like you were a local.We went on a Monday, presumably the quietest day of the week, and were lucky to have a table on the terrace made available by a a departing party when we arrived.The staff there is unpretentious, personable, and gave great recommendations on their menu of modern Italian cuisine.The food is best described as avant-garde"

Rita is between feel like home and modernism. Framed photos and original recipes bring back the nostalgia and roots behind the restaurant’s concept.Staff are really friendly.Special Pizza of the day with Sward fish and the Caesar salad with endive were both delicious.

Nice, simple and somewhat minimalistic « Italian » themed restaurant. Cozy ambiance (not too loud - perfect for a date or to catch up with friends), good service and alright food. The « Spaghetti Al Limone » was very salty and missed a little something to make it wow & encourage me to come back to get it again. The Rita pizza was alright as well compared to other Margherita type pizzas. The seasonal vegetables were very good and different : they were very flavourful and uncommonly seasoned - would recommend getting them!

I love the ambience of this restaurant. Very pretty.So, all of the dishes were great.. really yummy!!We had mozzarella and bread as an appetizer, the bread was very nice and fluffy. It came with some asparagus which was good as well(and I don’t usually care for asparagus)The pasta dishes were so good. Delicious sauce, well cooked gnocchi.The special of the night which is the ravioli, was very good. Only suggestion is that there be maybe.. bigger or more pieces of shrimp added inside. It was so good but you’d only get so many bites of it with shrimp! :(Only critique I have of the gnocchi, is that my dish could’ve been warmer.The Panna Cotta dessert was soooo good, I wanted more.My cocktail was tastyOur server was very nice and helpful, 10/10.
