Island 22 dog park

The best place to walk dogs in Chilliwack. Plus there is a beached area along the Fraser River.

Great dog park with lots of room for everyone. Great place to spend the day and have some lunch. All different types of four legged friends taking their owners out for a stroll. A pleasant place to meet new folks and their wonderful companions. Take a picture or 9 and spend some time.

Review update: The City has been doing a pretty good job lately keeping the road in good condition. We are all thankful. Maybe one day this road could be paved.We recently had our dog's 1st birthday party at 22. I've shared a few of the pics of our set up. The dogs loved their doggie cupcakes, and their parents loved the people cupcakes. Fun time!My dog and family really enjoy this park. It's such a gift in our community. BUT, big BUT! The road to get in shortly after the Young Street turn off is almost ALL POTHOLES! Super hard on car bearings. I've been going to this park regularly since Nov, slowly drive an SUV, and yesterday got an estimate to do front end work, $965! I was told roads like Island 22 eats up bearings. I'm going to check out a different local off leas park. Not Sheffield though, because it's all gravel. Too bad we can't have Island 22 as our neighborhood park anymore. The road definitely is worth properly fixing.

Good place to unleash your dog. Was quite slushy but should be ok in a few days :-)

Always a great place for a walk or a bike ride or looking for agates and enjoying the sunset. It's one of Chilliwacks real gems, come on down and check it out.

This place is shangri-la for doggos, just make sure to park before the toll collectors hut to enjoy free parking at the side of the road. Fair warning: The cost is walking three minutes to the dog park if you forgo the convenience of parking next to it for God knows how much money. Any money spent on parking is extortionate and sacrilegious. No fees during winter, as they board up the extortion-hut

New to the area and we have a high energy 11 month old female Malinois.We were apprehensive at first, as there were so many dogs, children and balls being thrown!She did so well and everyone was polite when she approached them. We loved how large the area was! Not too many abandoned piles of poop either, which is rare even in a small park. What a beautiful spot to enjoy nature and happy dogs!

Love this place!! We'll my dogs love it more. Lol. Always secured and lots of parking. It's a perfect spot for dog training.It's fully fenced so no worries if your dog is a runner.
