Lake Ridge Health Hospital: Emergency Room

Waited literal hours after my x ray got done for a doctor to address the situation. My foot was broken and it was really uncomfortable sitting on the chair for many hours with no accommodations for my broken foot.

Worst hospital ever!Waited 7 hours for the doc to tell me “ I don’t know what to tell you, I’m sorry”Nurses were rude when asked a question.They misdiagnosed my MIL a year ago!!!

I strongly believe there is a process problem in this hospital and there is no intention to fix it .I took my 5 years old son to hospital with an open wound while bleeding in hospital. We sat for 1:10 min to get to triage while my son was bleeding and I asked them more than 5 times to help with no response . Meanwhile they just saw 5 people that were before us . Out of both triage 4 people went to triage 2 and only one to triage 1. I was seeing triage one using phone for 10 min, going to washroom for another 15 min .When we were called she asked for everything related Covid except about that accident or even looking at cut . I asked her roughly how long we should sit to see doctor and she said she can not share that info ! Not even the estimation . When I asked can I take my son out to get him food , she said she doesn’t know when we will be called and we better to seated.I took my son out of hospital and we drove to north York hospital. They took us right away to triage and washed and cleaned the area so they can see what is going on .All took 15-20 min . They asked my son to walk , look at light and count to make sure he is ok . And then they asked me to give him Tylenol if he has pain .This is just two different process and as a patient I see how different they make clients to feel .Ajax hospital, you need to review your process and make it more efficient. With rising populations in south ajax things would be even more worse soon.

Terrible experience. Waited 4 hours for service and before they offer transparency as to why there is such a long delay, they relocated me to ANOTHER waiting room. Along with another 6 patients awaiting attention, they simply divide the existing patients into other waiting rooms to give the false impression of progress. Extremely understaffed, extremely poor communication. Left without receiving any medical attention.

I went in for heart attack like symptoms. They took blood and EKG immediately and then I waited for an hour and 45 minutes and still had 20 people in front of me. It was quite ridiculous. When i went to leave, the bank machine was offline and the parking machine wouldn't take visa debit. Terrible service at Ajax hospital. It has definitely changed from 10 years ago when they had excellent service. Thankfully a good samaritan accepted an etransfer from me and paid for it.

This place is absolutely disgusting, I lost 6 hours of my life in this gross embarrassment of an emergency room. There was 1 Doctor for 40 people, how horrific!! The waiting room area was filthy and flies and mosquitoes were everywhere. Don’t come here

The worst experience. Waited with my 8 month old for 4.5 hours in the waiting room and told it'll be another 5 hours for a doc to see us. This is not okay. other negative reviews are accurate but I will say the triage nurse was very kind and helpful.

If I can give a lower rating I would. The people here leave you to bleed to death and they are also not required to give you their names. Please don’t trust them with your life if you plan on keeping your life. Go to another hospital if you care for your loved ones.

Horrific. Terrible. I went in for a head injury and dislocated jaw at 4am tonight and never saw a doctor. Emergency department is TRASH! Please go to another hospital for the sake of yours and your loved ones PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH these doctors and nurses DO NOT care about life or well being you dont have to be a patient to take a walk into the emergency department to be traumatized. They NEVER have enough staff in ANY department and I mean, any department, like down to any, go ahead and walk through the hospital (if you have the time and patientice) something needs to be done about this hospital.I genuinely empathize with those who have left Ajax hospital in tears or in agonizing physical or mental pain because of a doctor or nurse or lack of general medical service?And the security? Unaware of what they do but make people feel worse.Thank yourself later go to another hospital.

I I visited multiple times the last 6 months; weekend afternoon, once during New Year’s Eve and my latest visit was mid week Wed evening. Always had good interaction with staff, nurses and specialists polite and always checked if I was okay. Thank you for everything you do, appreciate everyone there
