DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North

Great location. Recently renovated, nicely done. Comfortable and clean. Staff are all super nice and helpful. Convenient location for seeing the area. Electric outlets in the parking lot can accept 110v level 1 charging. Restaurant is good, drinks are very good.

Came up for work and was very happy with the hotel. Staff were wonderful, rooms were amazing, location was great for what I needed. My overall rating of this hotel is amazing. The reason I only rate 4 stars is the prices of food is a bit steep. Breakfast food prices are not the best. I ended up getting the Eggs Benedict for a heftier price of $21 and I found them to be mediocre. I then went to the Denny’s around the corner and only paid in total for my meal, $19.50 and that was for Eggs Benedict with add-on pancakes and I enjoyed them more than the hotel ones.I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family as well as stay here again in the future.

This was my first time staying in a Hilton and to say I am disappointed is an understatement.My first night I checked in and inspected the room, cleanliness was about a 4/10. The floor was not vacuumed properly and there was plastic on the floor from other guests. The table tops beside the bed were not wiped of drink spills and there was dust on almost every surface including the ice bucket and coffee machine. I went to bed early, and was evacuated from the hotel 2 hours later as a child had set off the fire alarm.When returing to my room, I noticed I had been bitten 2 times on my upper legs.The next morning, I showed a picture to the lady at reception and told her I had been bitten. She told me house keeping would take care of it. All house keeping did was make the bed. The room was not cleaned at all, only my bed was made. I stayed in that room another night and was bitten again. The next morning I request to have another room on another floor. The new room was clean and I didn't have any further issues with bites.The first night I ate in the bar, the menu not the caliber I was expecting for a Hilton. I had wings with a side salad. I had to send the salad back as the leaves were rotten green mush, the mushrooms were dark brown and gewy. The tomatoes were witherd and mushy. This was a complete disappointment.Another night I ordered a Greek salad which again was extremely disappointing, the standard of a dive bar or cafe. I ate the food and said nothing. I was staying 4 nights as I was in town to work. I will not stay at this hotel again. I wouldn't recommend it to my company or a friend.I gave 1 star for location because considering how far the hotel is from everything, their bar and restaurant is not sufficient if you wanted to stay for a couple of hours. The menu and quality of food isn't what I would expect from a Hilton and the atmosphere of the bar is non existent.

I travelled to Calgary for a friends reunion and had my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton. Must say, the place is really very impressive. This place has been renovated and the new room's aesthetic is simply beautiful. The lobby is very cozy and comfortable and it wouldn't be wrong to say its the best hotel I've ever stayed in !! Best part ? It is on 15 minutes drive from the airport. Highly recommended from my side !!

The DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North totally nailed it when it comes to making guests feel welcome and cozy. I mean, they seriously pay attention to every little detail, their service is top-notch, and the amenities are super fancy. Staying there was such a great experience that I can't help but recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Calgary, whether you're on a business trip or just chilling out. Trust me, this place is a hidden gem that will give you an amazing stay from beginning to end.

Key cards repeatedly failed walking from the desk to the room. Air conditioning was off and blew hot air in the room for the first day. 18 per plate for breakfast including kids but it was a regular breakfast where we served ourselves. It was supposed to be included with our room but they charged us separately. We have stayed in several DoubleTrees, but this was very disappointing.

Went for the VIP Horror Con party. Enjoyed the atmosphere but I was surprised at the room choice for ‘VIP’. Regardless, the size of the room ending up working super well for the amount of guests and the live performers. Bartenders were friendly and efficient. Drinks were cheaper than the concert I previously attended at U of C For me, the location is convenient but this is dependant on your goals in Calgary - not a long drive to downtown or airport but this hotel is located at neither, it’s on 16th. It was cool that horror con had celebrity guests performing and mingling at the party.

Location was great as it was out of the hustle an bustle of the city if that is what you are looking for. Other than location I have noting positive to say about my experience at this property. Checked into a room with no air con after requesting that I have it as I was traveling with my large dog who required it. After checking in we informed front desk, only to be told it takes a half an hour for the air con to work. I found this odd as if that was the case why was it not pre set for guests arrival. After been informed of the air con matter I found multiple ants all over the room.Was moved to another room only to have another issue with the air con only to find out later that the side of the property I was staying on had not yet been updated with the new air con system. These two matters of ants in the room and poorly working air con were only the tip of the ice berg with my uncomfortable experience at the hotel.Numerous conversations happened at the front desk with no staff member been able to communicate why these issues had happened or been able to come up with a solution for my frustration. My concerns were met with a staff member informing me these things happen
