Tacos El Zarape
I travel the USA a lot, but anytime I come into Oregon I stop here at El Zarape to eat some authentic Mexican cuisine. It is a restaurant located next to the Pilot truck stop. I highly recommend this restaurant because good Mexican food outside of California is hard to find. And it also has casino slots, a sports bar and entertaining televisions to enjoy sports.

Great place! Nice folks! Definitely going back. Plenty of seating inside or out on the patio. Plenty of parking and easy on/off of the freeway. There's a filling station right next door if you need fuel as well. Traditional Mexican food and it is delicious. There's a full bar and even a gambling area. The chips and salsa are brought out with the menu and a smile. The server was fun and checked on us regularly but not overly. Wonderful experience.

Tacos El Zarape
Server was really sweet. I got my food to go and waited at a table outside with my dogs and had a beer while I waited. The nachos were good, but the salsa I got to go was delicious and had a good bite. I wish I would have known because I would have asked for another. The menu was huge so I might try it again. The place is tucked behind a truck stop so lots of truckers dining in.

While the food was very good and reasonable, take it To-Go. I walked into the bar area on a Monday and people were smashed drunk!! Loud and obnoxious atmosphere. Bartender was definitely over serving the locals. MOre then a few DUIs have been served there.

We ate in the bar area and had the MOST AMAZING server and the food and people (other diners) were so awesome. It was very welcoming and a really warm environment to hang out in. They have a other dining area for families if u have children. Food was delicious. Service was outstanding. We really enjoyed our time there. My daughter and I ordered drinks with our dinner and the drinks were amazing as well! Very great experience here.

Tacos El Zarape
Great place to relax after a long day. Amazing nachos and good beer. I appreciate the aesthetic presentation of the dish and that it even had sliced olive and scallions. The barbacoa was tender and melt in your mouth although I think corn tortillas tend to overpower the overall flavor. I will probably swing by every time I go through town.

We enjoyed a late lunch here. We came by originally at 12:30pm and parking lot was packed (a good sign in our book). So we ran some errands and came back at 1:30pm. Thoroughly enjoyed our combination plates. I had pollo burrito and 1 taco and Mom had carnitas burrito, we both had rice and beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We will certainly be back.
