Very disappointed with my recent take out order. Their service and quality of food had tremendously decreased. Ordered 4 kabobs, 4 naans and a whole chicken for $38. The chicken was almost the size of a Cornish hen, less than 1 Pound of chicken. The size of the kabobs also shrank, I can literally see more spices than meat in it. Finally to no surprise, the naan was also smaller. I used to like picking up food from here but I won’t be going forward.

I went to Marche Daata today to order lamb biryani. I went on google before going to the restaurant, only to see terrible reviews. I decided to give them a chance, but that was a big mistake. Saying the lamb was cold and dry would be an understatement. I was totally blindsided by how terrible the food was. However, the service was much worse. The man at the counter was talking to some person on the phone very rudely, and on top of that, the person taking my order seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else. Also they were not washing any of their hands. I will not ever come back.

The owner simply has no respect. Very rude and the food is made without gloves just disgusting. Better if you just steer away.

Today, I had a disgusting service at the Daata market in addition to having defrauded me !! I ordered a biryani, 3 sandwiches with a fries, immediately the guy at the counter told me $ 30 without having checked the prices on the cash register or anything. Being in good faith I give him the money then I notice that he does not intend to give me a receipt when I ask him to give me one he gets angry. His attitude changes when I insist on getting it, he tries to get me a receipt with the price he gave me but does not arrive the first time. He had to make up to 4 tries to get me a receipt almost the same amount as he gave me. Seeing that I was puzzled he asked me to go see the Boss" at the other checkout

Recently moved to the area. Wanted to buy some meats and other desi groceries. Very bad experience at meat counter.... stayed in front of the counter for 20 minutes, one person went to freezer and pulled out some chickens. There was no other customer present. He took out of the bags and walked away while the other didn't give a damn. Left my grocery shopping cart with some groceries in it and walked away. Oh.... not to mention the person at the cash register was on speaker phone very loud discussing a wrongful credit card transaction by the store. Very unprofessional.I would buy at a distance in Montreal area.

*This review only concerns the restaurant.Big amateurs of indian/pakistani/south asian dishes, we tried out this restaurant as someone recommended it. It was probably the worst south indian food we had in our entire lives (exception being the food served at Sana restaurant on Jarry in Montreal) Yes, the chicken biryani portions are big but it is bland, dry, not flavourful at all with tiny bits of chicken. My husband even found a dead fly in his dish! We also took a butter chicken deal that comes with naan, rice and a salad and it was the absolute worse : literally two spoons of biryani dry rice, one spoonful of salad (a quarter piece of tomato, some onions and pieces of lettuce) and 5 tiny pieces of boneless chicken in a very sweet tomato sauce. Worst butter chicken we ever had in our lives! Frozen butter chicken meals at Wal-Mart are 1000x better! The only good thing about the meal was the naan. Overall, we threw most of the meal. You really get what you pay for. We do not recommend and will not go back! We rather pay more for a quality meal elsewhere.
