I was very disappointed with the 2022 Tour du Canada, specifically the Bud organizer. Leaving a rider behind sick with Covid in a campground is unacceptable, so many more complaints I can't enumerate all. I have done many great cycling trips with other organizations but this one is not a good one.

I participated in the Tour du Canada 2022. I was very unsatisfied with Bud the organizer and with Tour du Canada in general. The camp grounds that were selected for the tour were substandard. Many were dirty, had limited shower facilities if available at all. Some campgrounds the water was unsuitable to drink. The clean up basins that Bud provided to clean cooking utilizes were disgusting. It was quite common for participants of the tour to have digestive issues as a result. Tour du Canada cheaped out on food, often times rationing food and purchasing inadequate amounts of food for the riders. He often purchased the cheapest food possible. The fridge often didn’t work and as a result, food safety was an issue. The tour organizer showed contempt for the riders and was often very unfriendly. His route sheets were often riddled with errors. In the prairies where sourcing water was critical, his route information neglected to inform riders of the availability of water. I would not recommend Tour du Canada as an option. Better to do a self supported trip with a partner. I finished the entire route but that was in spite of Tour du Canada. If I could provide a rating of less than 1 star I would have a negative rating.

2022 - the best part of this experience was the people and friendships we made. We ALL pulled together despite the extremely sub par conditions by the operators Bud and Margo. If you are ok with having food locked up, faulty equipment like a fridge, coffee maker often not working, electrical system tripping out in the trailer, filthy pantry and campsites in many cases not sanitary (White Lake, Taylor’s outside Dryden-water not potable)…only buying food if available wholesale, then be prepared and sign up for 2023.Unfriendly operator to say the least …in Kenora we had a major rainstorm with flooding and road wash outs…Bud arrived in town in the afternoon, with only 5 of 16 riders accounted for after 2 hours waiting around he got up from his table without asking if everyone was ok and went to bed…Many many examples of putting the owners ahead of the paying riders, with no regard to the health and safety of the riders. It’s time people are made fully aware of what this operation is all about….Reach out to any and all riders of 2022 for the straight answers-ALL of us can’t be wrong…seriously consider other options available to you..Peter
