First Choice Haircutters

Been going here for my haircut for at least ten years, I always get Catherine! She is the only person I’ll let cut my hair! I always leave with a smile and have referred so many people to her and they love her too!

Always get my hair done here but they really need to change their hours of business on the door. Went at 5:15 for a hair cut and turned away.

Went in to get a haircut, she grabbed my hair in a handful and cut straight across, my hair is different lengths all around my head, was devastated when I left.

I’ve been seeing Nicole for many years now. She always listens to what the client wants. Recently, I asked her to cut all my hair off from past my shoulders to a pixie. She remembered that last time I was in I said, “if I show up asking you to chop it all off - talk me out of it!” And did she ever try! Eventually, she conceded and cut my hair as I wished only then secretly saying, “I always love the short cuts on you!” Professional and always caring. Folks are always surprised when I say I go to First Choice when I’m complimented on my hair! I proudly say, “it’s locally owned and in my tight budget! Why pay more for the same (or not as good) haircut at a fancy salon?” Thanks again Nicole!!!

Fast and friendly. Will go back when in the area and need a trim.

Always ask for Nicole! She was at the Cole harbor location yesterday and cut both my kids hair (liam 3 & logan 5). She is amazing with kids and even did a little design on the side for them. She kept them comfortable and entertained for the whole haircut. I love how fun she makes it for them. We will be back again :)

Went in to get a haircut and made one thing very clear do not touch the hair that’s on top of my head but instead the barber totally ignored that and went ahead and started cutting and at my surprise I had to tell her stop while she was cutting my hair but at that time it was too late and so by the time my haircut was done my hair was in three different lengths and if that wasn’t enough my beard had dark and light spots it was all over the place!!! I recommend spending the extra dollars and going somewheres that has experience!!

I needed a trim for Christmas & I missed my last appointment with my stylist. Shevonlyvcomes to Dartmouth one day a week so I was kinda panicked that I had to go holiday visiting looking like a streel". I saw ivcould book on linecdo I booked an appointment with the next available stylist & then went & gotta mani pedi atvthecspa first. TurnsvoutvI knew the stylist because I worked with her mom for 10 years. Catherine did a marvelous job & I'm happy that it's kinda tousled & notebook smooth or school marmish looking. It's a point cut layered look & is very trendy. I've been using a mobile service since 2016 when all my hair fell out but its twice the cost of First Choice Hair Cutters. Also there's not much flexibility in her schedule whereas First Choice has 4 stylists to choose from on any given day. I feel good these days so I'll keep my mobile stylist in case I ever find myself unable to travel again. It is quite a nice convenience to have a stylist come to your home."

Nicole Arnold has been cutting my hair for almost 15 years….she’s awesome and with all the different hairstyles I’ve had over the years…she’s so versatile. Super friendly!

Brought my 2yo in for a haircut. We were turned away because he would not wear a mask. I tried to put one on him, but he was scared by the new experience of having his hair cut and would not keep his mask around his ears. He became upset. The hairdresser showed a total lack of compassion and compromise, she would not allow me to simply hold the mask over his nose and mouth - she said that he HAD to be wearing it. She said she was not comfortable" doing it
