Boylston Provincial Park
The directions as to where to go when arriving at the park are very unclear. Found the site but no where to get water for our trailer, found a park staff who directed us to go back out to the office building to get tank filled, would be nice to have mentioned this in the email pre arrival. Needs alot of work to cut brush back along road ways.

This is a nice quaint little campground. Approx 35 sites, most for tents/small trailer and a few for the big rigs. The sites have decent privacy, and all have a small fire pit, some have power while most don't. Water taps available, but it's recommended you boil the water before consumption. There is a small comfort station with three washrooms, each having it's own shower stall. All the facilities we're kept clean during my stay. At the time of this review, a tent site was $25 per night.

We absolutely loved it there! It's like a tiny hidden jem. The tide lapped at our feet and we walked across the bridge and walked the trail that ran the peremiter of Priest Island we could see across the Milford Haven River.

We went for a walk around the park, it is very nice and had beautiful views.I would love to camp at the sites by the lake.It was a good walk going up and if we go back in the future we won't be walking down to Priest Island, we will definitelyr be taking the car!!!I also enjoyed finding the Geocache on the Island.

We had one of our favourite camping experiences here. So glad we booked it. We stay in many provincial parks but this was one that was not seen and on our list. The park proved to be everything we hoped for. It is a small park, up high on a hill, but the view from the front of the campground is stunning. The site we had was perfectly private and felt like we were camping in the wilderness alone. The staff was wonderful, firewood was good and the price was very reasonable. A great experience all around.

Beautiful place to spend a few nights. I didn't get a chance to go in Irving Lake but it certainly looks clear and nice! I did hike to Wells Brook Falls and did the loop around Priest Island. Both were great shadey places to take refuge from the heat. (Involved walking on the highway.)I was disappointed in my site. (Site 10. Chose it to enjoy the picnic shelter advertised online. Alas, it was no longer there.)

We stayed 3 nights here. We had site 35 right on the lake. Very nice site. It was level but many of the others were not. It is a bit steep getting up the hill but the views are very nice. The staff was very friendly. I liked the clean bathrooms. There were 2 and they each had a shower. Of course there were pit toilets too.

Awesome campground! It was my wife and I's first time going, but we loved it. The sites were well spread out and ours had excellent privacy (site 29). There are no serviced sites so keep that in mind, but there were plenty of water faucets and vault toilets (and the main building at the entrance when coming up the hill houses three private washrooms with great showers - though a bit of a walk if you are camped at the sites further in like we were). One thing I would advise is there was no water fill-up that we could see at the main entrance (though it looked like it was listed on the park map as having one). Thus, we had planned to fill our trailer's freshwater holding tank when arriving (saving extra weight on our drive to the campground) but instead had to rely on refilling our portable jug from the faucet near our site. Not a big issue by any means, but just something for future campers to keep in mind!Park staff were very friendly and visibly making rounds - always a good thing! The campground is only a few mins from Guysborough proper and the Days Gone By bakery - HIGHLY recommend you check them out as they had some awesome baked goods and delicious lunches!!
