We worked with Dustin for 14 months on the planning phase of our reno before finally ghosting him because it had become such an unpleasant experience and he was failing to meet a reasonable timeline.During that time, my husband and I experienced an exceptional amount of frustration and anger regarding his absolutely shameful management of our project.Specifically, here were the highlights:1. We were asked to select materials, I.e., counters, paint colours but given minimal guidance on what needed to be selected and then accused of not being serious about our reno when we were behind in selections for things we didn't even know we needed to select because he failed to communicate expectations2. Constantly in the dark about progress and communication was horrible (embarrassing really for a professional")3. Bullying and misogynistic behaviour5. Promised an invoice adjustment - never received6. Some of his contacts were unreliable and unprofessional

Dustin gave me advice over the phone, before and on the weekend; using his own free time to help me, even though my project was too small for him. Alair Cowichan Valley renovated our family’s home. Dustin guided, organized and executed the project from inception to fruition.Our renovation was complex- a waterfront house that needed a lot of work throughout and outside.Dustin took the house from something that perhaps could have been considered a “tear down” to an award-winning forever home.Time and efforts were the big players in our project but the real “X factor” was Dustin’s passion for construction. I chose Alair from 3 companies I interviewed and I am so happy I did. Alair, and our project manager Dustin, did an outstanding job, They were professional, really responsive to any potential issues and the work they did and manged through the trades they used was absolutely first class. The project was completed on time and there were no surprises on cost because their system allowed me to track every expenditure along the way. They also helped my Daughter with her reno project and agin we were all 100% satsified. I can honestly say that based on my experiences I wouldn't have anyone else do any renovations but Alair.

Go above and beyond to make the customer happy; we are very happy to of met Dustin, we were able to call him about an issue on our home (not build by him) and he came over that evening to make sure it wasn’t anything that needed immediate attention. We’ve had numerous conversations about wanted updates in our home with absolutely no pressure.
