Hands down the best guitar, composition, and song writing teacher I've had. I've had many teachers prior but his passion for teaching is unrivalled. He's taken me from beginner to intermediate playing and song writing. His creative lessons help me write music and his approach to teaching theory helps my song writing process making me a more whole musician, which I'm very grateful for!

Matija is a great teacher. Been with him for 2 years learning classical guitar and a bit of folk. He has a step by step lesson plan, with a keen focus on healthy ergonomic, his methods work well for me, and his input on my playing helps me progress smoothly.

Matija is an amazing teacher, He is my second teacher and I am here to stay. Super patient, friendly, and always has an explicit lesson plan in mind. I had almost no training and now my rock and acoustic chops are progressing and I can play tunes smoothly, and he has pointed out some great insights into more expressive playing, strumming and chording techniques. I took regular online guitar lessons with Matija to improve my skill level. He was really good at creating exercises that were gradually improving in difficulty, customizing to my creative pursuits, giving me good suggestions on strumming positions and plucking styles, sending me recorded reviews of our lessons to practice and follow on my own time, and excellent feedback on my progress. Highly competent music AND composition teacher not just guitar... I'm an intermediate player when I connected with him and I have gone well beyond my expectations with our lessons. I'm learning classical composition, analysis, some orchestration, and classical guitar, and some rock fusion playing! Matija is flexible and broad in his ability to teach. He composes rock, jazz, classical and can talk deeply about most forms. His practical guitar lessons are well thought out and I enjoy our time together.

Matija is by far the best classical guitar teacher I have ever had. He is musical, attentive, and a delight to learn from. Matija provides a super effective and positive learning environment and is a deeply knowledge guitar teacher, songwriting teacher, and musician. My playing is more expressive and creative because of his valuable input, we have been working together for 2+ years. He took me from total beginner through the acoustic campfire, rock, gypsy jazz, and classical music. His love of Bach rubbed off on me and his insights into musical analysis is eye-opening! Matija is a flexible and deeply knowledgeable teacher. I am curious by nature and with him was able to dive deep into theory, what modes and scales are, notes reading -- but also practical applied guitar playing in rock and lead playing. I strongly recommend him for both 'heady' concepts as well as applied learning 'get your fingers on the guitar and play'. He is super musical, friendly, and an excellent music educator, he has good instincts for teaching.

Matija is just an excellent teacher. I came to him for guitar lessons with absolutely no musical background. With his amazing teaching skills, He really boosted my interests in guitar playing and helped me start up playing music with ease.
