Giant Tiger

I wanted in a long line to self checkout. I processed a coupon. The young man clerk standing beside me was nice and processed it for me. I had to go again and pickup another item, waited again in long line to self checkout , again no big deal. I later realized that the coupon in my intial transaction had not been processed correctly by the young man. He realized they don’t keep cash at the self checkout lane to process my refund. All the other clerks told me, rather than just wait in the actual line for cashier checkout, just go beside till 1 and she will process it for me. The lady there Vaedehi, I think was her name, was rude and told me go wait in line. I tried explaining to her your own co worker messed up and she just told me to go back and wait in the long line. It should be put in the training where if you own coworker messed up, why am I waiting in line again, just process my refund, like all your coworkers said.

It was my mistake to went there for the shopping. When I finish my shopping there I asked for handbags. because I don’t have a car. And my home is 20 minutes away from the store then they have told me that we don’t have any other kind of backs right now just this one end it was very hard for me to carry my shopping on this kind of bags for 20 minutes very disappointed zero*

I'm giving this a 4 simply because it's not a perfect store. However, a year ago, I would have given it a 0 or 1. This store seems to have really pulled up their socks! A year ago (or so), there was only one cashier for smokes and customer service. They had taken out all the other cashiers and switched to the automated ones. I'm glad they had a think about it and brought live cashiers back. Frankly, if you're going to come take money from my community, you should be contributing jobs. I would argue they still have too many auto-cashiers but I don't want to focus on that.Over the last few years, it felt like Giant Tiger was lost. The stores were dirty, the products were really low quality, and switching to auto-cashiers was the last straw for me and my wife. We avoided Giant Tiger for at least a year. BUT, they had a deal for something we needed and we couldn't pass it up so we went in.The difference was almost night and day. The the whole store looked put together". Product was neatly shelved and looked plentiful. It actually felt clean and new in there. They changed the lighting around and it felt bigger and more airy. Even the produce and bread section were nice. The produce looked pretty good

Great store! I had a lovely associate at the fitting rooms help me out with finding an item. I wanted a shirt in my size, and she looked up a sku to another store and gave whitby a call and put it on hold for me. While the other associate there said she couldn’t look it up. Unfortunately I didn’t get the name of the associate who kindly assisted me, but she had a cute voice and red hair. Very bubbly and friendly girl

This store is great! Lots of selection and nice employees. Amble parking space and the store is kept clean as well. The new self checkout feature is great if your in a rush.

I wish more grocery stores are like this with competitive price.We get full chicken for $1218 eggs for $5Cloths for really good priceLaundry for $6And all of them are good quality for this price.

It's okay but they don't trust customers to use the washroom you have to press a button and hope someone comes to let you in.Also, they put on self checkout only debit and credit and left only two cashiers for everyone else. Which made for a long wait in line when you have cash.I am going to see how the Whitby store is see if it's any better.
