News is absolute trash!! I’m pretty sure the editors have a grade 3 education. I pick up the paper to read about what important is going on in the world today. Not some article about how your editor caught 357 lies in Donald Trumps last 3 word tweet. I don’t care at all!!

The Kit" is absolutely appalling. Is the Star THIS out of touch with it's small subscriber base: in a time where more of us all falling into poverty and the general concensus for Christmas is to support local and be appreciative of what you do have. The Star's weekly "The Kit" is offering gift ideas of Dior pj's for $4000 or on the cheaper end a $530 designer silk scarf..."

A high school age person came to my door offering Toronto Star subscriptions in support of her school. I had a temporary house guest who was a Star reader. I agreed to subscribe only if I could cancel at any time. I was assured buy the young lady's supervisor the subscription would start immediately and could be cancelled any time. Two weeks later, no paper and I got a notice from the Star with a bill. I had to call to get the paper delivered. Difficult because of of the short service hours, When I went to cancel I was told I had signed up for a years subscription and there was a $100 charge to stop delivery. I was even more furious when I was told I should have read the terms and conditions and not taken the representative at their word. The T&C's are written on the back of the credit card form on an old fashioned pad of paper, so you can't read them. I was told it was up to me to prove I had signed up for a temporary subscription. I had to hunt down the little pink slip in my papers. The term field was left blank and the T&Cs said I could cancel within 5 days of the billing. After sending the scanned document I was told yet again I had signed up for a year. On the 4th call I had to give the poor customer service representative an ear full for 20 minutes to get the service stopped. It took about a month.

We went to the auto show and went there after they advertised a Google mini for subscriptions. The salesman, he's of South Asian descent, gave a vague pitch. However we decided to void it after seeing one of the terms he failed to mention to us and . He said you waisted our time and I'm not cancelling it". We then recorded it for our own protection. They threatened us with security and wouldn't void. One of the guys tore up my copy but wouldn't tear up his. When asked why

Until recently read the star every morning on my iPad, now it is all screwed up, only get one page that is current, the next page is four or five days old, it used to take me an hour to get and absorb all the current updates, I thought they were pretty good, now I guess I'm being forced to spend money to be able to continue to enjoy my five am newspaper and news updates, this is not going to happen, being eighty years old on a fixed income I guess I'll have to do without my daily star update, and just watch tv for my news fix, of which I have more choice anyway.

The most biased and informative news organization in Toronto I’m aware of. Poor opinions, fear mongering, unscientific propaganda, and all around a horrible publication. Please close your organization permanently so that we don’t have to read your nonsense. And if any real journalists work here, it’s time to find another home.

The Toronto Star is a great newspaper - it is published daily and it features a great investigative journalism department with writers that uncover corruption in government. They were responsible for uncovering the Rob Ford - Crack scandal among other stories. I recommend reading the Toronto Star.

This newspaper earns its reputation as Canada's biggest everyday. For the most part, this paper is a leading light of the Fourth Estate which is a thorn in the side of the privileged and the corrupt.Where as the Post Media rags openly sneer at the public good and its voices, the Star provides a forum for the true little guys following the Atkinson Principles that have guided it for generations.

Sorry but this paper disappoints on so many levels, rather than being neutral and presenting the news w/o bias this paper is so left wing it has become unreadable. Especially columns from Mallick, which spew out only hatred towards males.Check out the G+M or National Post if you want clarity on the news of the day w/o a huge left wing stance.
