Tonight I decided to get a smoke meat sandwich and went out to Big Bites .It’s not the first time I eat here, being from Montreal it’s so nice to be able to get a smoke meat here in Kingston and I am usually satisfied with the meal and good conversation with the owner on occasion when he’s there.Tonight I was really disappointed with not only the service-the guy behind the counter who was rude to the quality of the meat.First of all I asked if I could have a #6 but if it was possible to omit the fries and possibly replace it with something else - his response was a Caesar salad but I would have to pay $5 extra . So I just ordered the meal anyways .When I sat down to eat I noticed this little piece of aluminum foil which in it was a sliver of a pickle- I did ask the guy behind the counter if this was maybe a mistake which he said that’s what you get! okay fine … then come to the sandwich, I found not only was it cold but it was Very fatty - I took a couple of bites and left the rest - to be honest the best part of the overpriced meal that didn’t even come with coleslaw was the fries - and funny thing is I really didn’t want them to begin with .The cost of $19.00 was not worth it!!Really too bad the quality has gone down -Not sure I will return .Sorry Dimitri

I've been here 3 times and everytime It just keeps getting better. I've had the Poutine burger, Big Bite, and a secret menu item. When you don't need condiments to enjoy a burger you know you've got the right spot. Fries are just like the mother land of Montreal. Owner is great! Very social and very engaging! Definitely recommend! And ignore all those negative comments, those people don't know what good food is. If you want to eat healthy go somewhere else!

The food was great! Smoked meat fries , 2 steamy dogs and fountain drink, $25. That's not bad these days. The food came fast, fresh, hot and tasty. We will go back. Good job!

Love this place love the food! Amazing prices as well. A must for eating in Kingston!UPDATE : We were there again today! Still amazing! They forgot our forks but we didn't even mind as it was soooo good! 2 poutines for $10!!!UPDATE : in Kingston again and where did we stop! Big Bites! Love the food so much took 2 of the kids this time so they could have some too.

Ordered out.Montreal smoked meat on Rye with a side of fries and soft drink x 2.$40.00. Worth of food was thrown in the trash.The bread was hardly there and didn’t hold the smoked meat. The fries were soggy, greasy and looked to have been cooked a day ago. They were unbearably salty (way worse that MacDonalds.) Never again.The owner was overbearing and made out guest uncomfortable. Complete disappointment.

Not sure what to say. I am a smoked meat fan so when I seen the smoked meat" sign I was in. Place was clean so I ordered the Montreal smoked meat sandwich. Mistake number one. Should have picked the burger. It was bland and I'm going to guess not smoked on site. Tiny portion for the 19+ bucks it cost. The most disturbing part was the fries. They looked good but after I watched the cook spill the bag on the counter then pick them up with his bare hands and toss them back in the back I decided against it. Like who does that? Won't be back. Over priced for bland food and no sanitary food handling."

My husband and I finally decided to try big bites and see what all the fuss is about, we’re definitely going back! Ordered the Philly steak poutine and smoked meat poutine, absolutely delicious. The fries were golden brown and perfectly cooked, a nice thick sliced pickle on the smoked meat poutine, and the sauce on Philly steak was amazing (I had to steal some from my husband lol)Definitely recommend the poutines!

Today was my first time at Big Bites and it was amazing! The owner, Dimitri, was so great that I allowed him to choose my meal. He gave me the Chicken Caesar Roll and it was seriously one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time! And their prices are great, especially in this economy. My family and I will be going there often.Thanks Dimitri!
