Bronson Johnson Seamless Eavestroughs

This week Mike and the team installed new eaves, soffits and fascia on our 3 storey century old home in the Glebe. Overall, I would give a 6 out 5 star review because the scope of the project was complex since very high-up and moving tall ladders in the narrow ally between our neighbours house. Most importantly, the job involved careful attention to bat prevention by meticulously inspecting and sealing small spaces and noting many wildlife control companies would not do the work.Mike consulted us at every step and ensured the best quality and function as well gave honest advice to solve several roofing challenges. The team arrived on time early each day, very polite and cleaned up everyday which was important since we have kids playing in the back.The final cost matched the quote and was more than fair compared to other quotes. B&J Eaves was referred to us from Sanderson roofing in Ottawa. We hired them as well to install max venting and ice fencing which should help stop falling ice on the driveway.I would give a positive reference anytime to family and friends including our neighbours which Mike fixed their downspouts on the spot today. Hopefully the bats stay away!

I hired Bronson Johnson for two separate jobs - one to replace an eavestrough and later, to clean and inspect my eavestroughing. Both times they were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. I'm always weary about these things as I don't know much about eavestroughing but the team answered all my questions and even gave me tips and reassurance on a few different things. Mike and his team were extremely knowledgeable and helpful when they came to install eavestroughs on our home. When they arrived they did a complete walk around of my home and discussed with me the placement of each down spout to ensure water flows away from my foundation and to the best location for drainage. They also were very helpful in explaining the pros and cons of various leaf screens and how they would be beneficial for me based on the locations and types of trees I have in my yard.What really makes them stand out for me is the fact that they gave me a great understanding of how the eavestrough, drip edge, and fascia, all are impacted by the freeze thaw cycles we experience in Ottawa winters. They noted how they run a bead of silicone along the entire length of the eavestrough to seal it to the fascia and ensure that no water can get behind the trough and form icicles. Finally, Shane did a very thorough job of assessing our situation during the install. Any issues that were found relating to the infrastructure of my roof (rotten boards behind fascia) were discussed with me to determine the best way forward. A company that didn’t care as much may have just screwed into rotten wood.Overall I am impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, and quality of work performed by Bronson and Johnson. The fact that Mike the owner is on site for the install shows that he cares about doing the job right. They may be a bit more expensive than the competition, but knowing it’s done right is worth it. I would highly recommend them if you want the job done right.

Mike and his team have installed eaves troughs on both the front and back of my house. Last winter there were many heavy icicles hanging from my roof and I was concerned that the eavestrough had been damaged. Mike and his son came over on a Sunday afternoon to inspect it at no charge! They even made a few repairs that had been incurred by a contractor who had installed siding and damaged the downspout. Excellent service!!

Dealing with Bronson Johnson was such a pleasure from start to finish.Initially, their quote appeared somewhat higher than others but their thoroughness, craftsmanship, and quality materials used more than made up for this. They were prompt, worked long days, and met all promised timelines. As they progressed, they explained all that was being done and pointed out any problems with our older home. Adam has to be the nicest young man we have ever dealt with. Super happy with the installation of eavestrough and leaf guard that Fabien and his crew performed. It turned out that I had rotting wood behind the fascia so it ended up being a bigger job than anticipated. But Fabien was very low key about it and didn't try to push me into going ahead when he knew it was going to cost substantially more. Once I did go ahead, they discovered an infestation of carpenter ants in the fascia wood over the garage so I was really glad that I opted for getting it done right. The crew is fast, efficient and friendly and cleans up immaculately as they go. I highly recommend Bronson Johnson!

We just had Mike and Adam of Bronson Johnson at our house. They repaired and refurbished all of our downspouts and did a great job for us!!They were esepcially polite and accommodating and we are very pleased with their work.We noticed how neat their truck was maintained - a sure sign that they are a contractor who cares about their work and customers.We strongly recommend them.

Fabien Cauley and the team are top notch. They did a complete installation on house a few years ago. Very good service, professional install, on time on budget! This week they provided some some follow up service and it was a pleasure to work with them again. If you need eavestrough work, they are the best in Ottawa!
