Erbil Barber Shop

I have completely two different experiences with this barber shop.Last time that I went there, more than one month ago, a men cut my hair which I was completely satisfied and the haircut was awesome. I had a good experience and decided to go there again last week.This time, he was not there. I was a bit dubious to go in or not as the guy I new was not there. I assumed all the barbers working in the barber shop have same capabilities and there won't be lots of differences. I relied on my previous experience and went in.This time, a woman cut my hair which was awful. The cut was uneven and I think she was a learner!There were another woman and man cutting other customers hairs and I think they were good. But my barber, was totally different and while she was cutting my hair, I was sure that she is learning by try and error on my head.I think if someone is new to the business and is not professional, it would be better for you to tell the customer first that the barber is learner and get lower rate for her as she is learning. If the customer agrees, you can proceed.I wish I knew the name of both barbers I faced, the man and the woman, to mention here.Overall, I will never go back there again.

Excellent hair cut every time. The place is modern, professional, and the staff are welcoming; always making good conversation. This year, I’ve gone about 6 times for mens cuts. After trying most barbers in Kits, I’m confident in saying this is my new barber shop. Best time to go is Friday/Monday/Tuesday afternoons - little wait time.

I was really looking forward for my appointment here, the excitement built up for quite some time as I’ve heard of the good reputation of the two gentleman who work here. I was a walk in appointment and was graciously accepted in by a gentleman in a suite. I am insanely shocked, incredibly disappointed, and rather furious with the services I received that truly goes against all good I’ve heard regarding this establishment. Originally, I was meant to work with one of the gentleman, though unfortunately I never got his name, and when I went in for my simple hair cut a women was prepped to work with me. I didn’t mind, nor did I want to be rude, so I got into the chair, only to be met with one of, if not, the worst haircut experiences of my life. She seemed upset during the service and was very aggressive and the skin on my scalp left terribly irritated. As you can see in the pictures, my hair is choppy, uneven, the irritation in my skin (red spots,) etc. She had no manners whatsoever.Sitting down, she didn’t say hello or introduce herself, ask how I was, nothing. I would certainly not go again if she was who I had to work with.

I don't like giving bad reviews to local businesses, but unfortunately I don't feel that I could recommend this place for at least a beard trim. That's what I was here for specifically, since the advertised price was $15, but upon check out. There was a sticker shock of $24 plus tax and tip. I didn't argue with them about that, I just paid reluctantly. But the biggest downside was the skill and technique of the barber. I'm sure he cuts good hair, and I can't speak to that, but as far as beards go. I don't think this is strong suit. I had a medium length beard, and I showed him several pictures of the style I was going for, in the end he simply trimmed the sides and razored the edges, and cleaned up the neck, he didn't touch the main beard at all. Which I think I'm glad he didn't in hindsight because it took several months to grow it to that length. And I would have been devastated if he just started chopping away without a real plan. Anyways, there was no beard shaping, just the side and neck, not really worth the price in the end unfortunately. I'll go somewhere else, basically pay double for a beard trim. Live and learn.

Erbil is an amazing barber shop, very clean and knowledgeable experienced barbers. They take there time and do not rush you. Best barbers in town.
