City View - CLV Group

Lived here for two years, first apartment on my own, was good for a starter apartment when the rent was $870/mth. Since new owners took over they raised it significantly to over $1200/mth. The units themselves are good for a single, possibly a couple, any more and no chance. Apartments are tiny yet convienient and practical. Zero to none storage space. Nothing is included (except for the very nice high quality, name brand stainless steel INCLUDED appliances like a microwave, fridge and oven). Parking is an absolute free for all, with people parking closest to their door to enter, even it it means practically blocking other people in.Winter is manageable if it isn't -40 outside. We had the hear cranked to max during this winter and the gas heat couldn't keep up and it was set to 90 and the thermostat was reading less than 70, landlords fixed the issue by lending a temp space heater (hydro at your own expense).The new owners ARE TRYING to improve to building, don't get me wrong, responding to issues (kind of) and mainly repaving the horrendous parking lot his past fall, but there just seems to be too much to fix.The main issue I had over my entire tenancy was drain flies. From November-april (of your lucky) you won't see any and think your all good, but once the warmer weather hit, you'll start to see drain flies spawning like rabbits, there not way to combat them, I've tried everything. This building has gone through 4 owners since I live there for 2.5 years. Every single once I complained about the drain flies and nothing was done. They sent an exterminator and he just flushed drains (same process each time they came 6+ times). No result.This wouldn't be a bad place to live if the rent was still under 1000, but for $1200+, with all these issues, sorry, go somewhere else
