I bought this house in December 2020 and noticed over the past year that there were some updates that needed to be done, one of which was adding insulation to the attic (currently R30, but I wanted the Ontario standard of R50 to prevent ice damming). I also needed my gutters replaced. I asked my insulation guy if he had any recommendations for gutter replacement and he gave me the card for Johnny, JSM Installations. Awesome.A day later, I entered my information into the form on the website from the business card and got a call from Johnny not too long after on March 25, 2022. I confirmed that I wanted service done.On March 28, 2022 Johnny called to follow up and asked if I had time for him to come take a look at the job. Luckily I had time, even though it was Monday. He took a thorough look around with his ladder and clipboard, and afterwards, showed me an estimate for all the things that needed to be done based on my testimony and his observations. It was pricier than I expected, but I wanted the best and doing price research online yielded similar numbers. He also showed me the inside of the trailer and explained how the gutters are formed and what alu-rex is and what the purpose of everything is; even though I was mostly anglophone (francais is my 3rd language), he was able to explain everything succinctly and professionally.A few days later he sent me an electronic estimate that I confirmed by text message. Like I said, it was pretty pricey, but it was exactly what I wanted and I knew what the purpose of each cost was because it was explained properly. My motto in life is an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure" (and also "measure twice cut once" lol) and if these gutters are going to last 25 years and I never have to clean them
