As a first time home buyer with litterally no experience with house maintenance, I counted on the reviews I read about Dave to hire him for the inspection. He encouraged my presence while he was inspecting, made me participate, note and understand the visible flaws, their direct and obvious cause, or the possible theories that would explain the state of the house when it was too ambiguous to determine.This man just saved me thousands of $. I recommend him for those who want someone professional, ethical, honest and passionate.Dave has also a good and positive energy and I enjoyed the whole experience.Thank you Dave, it was worth the time and the money.

Dave performed a home inspection on a house we were in the process of purchasing. He arrived on time and was very polite and professional. The inspection was very thorough, and he walked us through everything he was doing. He was very friendly and gave us plenty of opportunities to ask questions or ask for clarification. This was our first home purchase and we could not have asked for a better person for the job.We also paid extra for thermal imaging, which we think was definitely worth it. Dave went through the entire house and checked everything. It was also very interesting to watch.

We had an inspection done with Jody today for our first home purchase and he was amazing!! He was very thorough, answered all the questions we had and was punctual. The inspection took about 3.5hrs. He was easy to talk to, personable and professional. Jody explained everything he was doing, what we were seeing and the outcomes of not doing concerned issues. We could tell he has done this a thousand times!! We will be recommending him to our friends and family that are looking for an inspector!! Well worth the money and peace of mind!!!! I used NorthStar on recommendation from a realtor and was not disappointed. Jody came out and did a great job. He explained everything he was doing and seeing in real time. Answered all my questions patiently and took the extra time to try to investigate even small details. It was a long day but I appreciated the extra effort. David exceeded our expectations: friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain a lot of details about how houses work and should work. Also, he provided us with a book which is like an encyclopedia of homes, as well as with our house inspection on PDF which is truly our house's manual. All of this with a fair price. Just got home after Dave did a home inspection for myself and my partner. He was amazing and I highly recommend him! He was very thorough and knowledgeable, and explained things in a manner my construction- working partner understood - but also so that I, someone not even remotely experienced with building, understood. Along with his wealth of knowledge, Dave was also very personable and friendly and didn’t seem to mind my fairly endless stories! He definitely covered every square inch of the home and we are confident we won’t be having any surprises!

Dave's attention to detail literally saved us thousands of dollars by bringing attention to items during our home inspection. Armed with that information we had a strong case for amending our offer to purchase. Dave was very knowledgeable of the many aspects of the inspection and was able to explain his findings to us in a straight forward and easy to understand manner.
