This gym is coached by top notch fighters. They are technique driven and detail oriented. Very friendly staff with killer coaches. I've been to many gyms all over the world and this one is top notch, don't think twice.

My 3 children have been going to the gym for nearly two years. Watching them interact with adults, coaches and other kids where discipline, respect and self control are taught on a daily basis has been a pleasure. They have all learned physical and emotional skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.We’ve had an issue with my two oldest kids being bullied by one particular boy at school and when he, a much larger child, tried to hurt them they were both able to neutralize the bully without retaliation. Even the teachers were shocked and amazed. When I asked them why they didn’t fight back they both responded “I didn’t want to hurt him.” I truly believe this is a direct result of the teachings from the Kalsamrit coaching team.They have all moved up in the rankings in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai and are very proud of that. Knowing they worked hard to improve and were not handed a promotion that they didn’t earn.It’s a special place for them to be a part of and they’re always disappointed when they have to miss a class. Highly recommend!

Great gym for an awesome workout that is anything but boring! All the staff and coaches are super nice. Kalsamrit is the perfect place to gain some self-assurance and determination.

Can’t say enough positive things about Kalsamrit Port Perry. This gym has became a common interest for our whole family to share. Plus it’s encouraged an active healthy lifestyle for all of us which is always a big plus!

We moved to Scugog in January and signed our daughter up shortly after. The excellent coaches and staff at the gym made her feel so welcome. She has made friends and learned a lot, Kalsamrit was a big part of helping her adjust to a new town.

I was intimidated and not sure what to expect coming in as an adult. After the first class I was no longer doubtful. Everyone here wants to helps you grow. Everyone helps!!! I take Muay Thai and jujitsu classes as well the strength and conditioning. With the Muay Thai the more experienced practitioners will give you tips and help you develope proper technique along side your coaches. The higher level juijitsu practitioners are absolutely amazing as well the coaches are as well. They help from day one and want you to improve! It’s something you have to experience for yourself! The roll sessions and sparing sessions are tough, fun, and an overall great experience. The strength and conditioning? Let’s just say come for a while and you’ll see how great they are! I went from a couch cushion to out energizing my 8 year old and his friends at 50 years old. Above all the great benefits of just being physically fit, learning boxing, Muay Thai and some really Juijitsu. Not one person at this gym has an ego. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. It’s genuinely a place where you come and every single person there wants you to be a better you from the most experienced to the least experienced.

Great enrolled my kids here and they love it, the instructors are good and classes are great, they keep the kids involved and entertained. Great for them to burn some energy trainers are excellent with the kids. My 4 year old and 6 year old love it

Love this martial arts centre. The coaches are all a amazing and so good with kids. The facility is big and bright. There’s a real sense of family and community at Kalsamrit.
