La Pizza & Pasta

We recently ordered from this pizza place for the first time. On the positive side, the pizza tasted very good and seemed great until we found a hair in it.On the more negative side: We live close to this restaurant, near Taunton and Harmony in Oshawa. About 3km from La Pizza. When the order was placed for delivery, we explained what we wanted and where the pizza was to be delivered to. We were given a total of $23.45.When the pizza arrived, we gave the driver S28.00 to pay for the pizza and for a tip. The driver left, then returned shortly thereafter to advise that we had not paid enough and that we were five dollars short.Thinking that perhaps we had heard the total incorrectly over the phone, I gave the driver another five dollars. I took the receipt but did not look at it until she left. The bill said that the total was $23.45, plus.a five dollar delivery charge that was hand written on the bill. So, I had just tipped the driver about ten dollars. The driver should have brought this to my attention, however I did not look at the receipt before I paid the additional money. I took her word that I was short five dollars when I should have looked at the bill closer. I guess that is my fault.After the driver left and I had a chance to look at the bill, we contacted the restaurant to discuss. The person on the phone said that the five dollars was indeed the delivery charge, and is remitted to the driver directly. Again, keep in mind that this charge was never mentioned to us before the pizza was delivered, and was not fully explained by the driver. Also, I would again mention that our house is 3km away from La Pizza.While the pizza was good, the hair that we found in it prompted us to throw the whole thing in the trash on the second slice. That, combined with the somewhat deceptive and unclear manner in which this delivery charge was applied has left us very disappointed in our experience with La Pizza.We will not be ordering from them again. $35 dollars for pizza with hair as a topping and surprise delivery charges made for a bad meal. Your mileage may vary.

Went for lunch with my wife and it was incredible. Everything from pizza to breadsticks that come with the lasagna is made from scratch. The food was delicious! We ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was one of the best tiramisus I've had. Overall the food was excellent and the owners were really friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants traditional homemade Italian food.

What a wonderful little family restaurant. It was our first time ordering from here tonight and we couldn’t have been happier. Staff was very friendly. All the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Portion sizes were very generous and price was totally reasonable. We will be back again for sure!

I went based on an enthusiastic recommendation from a friend. The owners were super friendly and helpful. I bought frozen lasagna, eggplant parmesan and arancini to serve next weekend. Then I ordered a margarita pizza to go. It was delicious! All prices are very reasonable.

Pizza dough was not crisp like I like it and kinda doughy to be honest. Toppings were scarce. Needed more cheese too and overall just OK for me. I dunno where all these 5 star ratings are coming from? This place is not 5 star at all. Been a long time since we came here and I think that was our last time.

This place has awsome food. I had French fries pizza today and it was freaking amazing and its just for 11 CAD with taxes a medium size. The owners were very friendly too. Amazing place must try.

The pizza is a hit every time! I’ll be making sure to check out the pastas and soups next time!4.5/5 is very well deserved. Definitely in the “best pizza in Oshawa” tier.

Always enjoy ordering from La Pizza & Pasta because the food is fresh, hot and delicious. As mentioned in other reviews, portions are generous and the prices are good. Prefer to order from this family run business, especially the Thursday lasagna special.Don’t forget about the pre-made meals! I often pick up some of the homemade pasta and soup and leave in my freezer for when we need a quick meal.

Amazing Pizza, Lived here for almost a year. Just now found this place. Ordered a vegetarian pizza, it was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Taste authentic. Better than the chain pizza restaurants. I would like to try their pasta and tiramisu next time.

I'm really not sure why in the 9 years we've lived here, we've never had La Pizza & Pasta.I've never tasted such incredibly authentic & delicious pizza !!!!We had a bruschetta & a cheese (both thick crust, it was so light and fluffy) and 1lb of wings (hot & honey).We will never order elsewhere !!!
