Harbord - The Home Insurance People

My old insurance was moved to a new insurance company and the renewal came in $500 more than the old one. I sat on the phone trying to talk to an agent for 1-3/4 hours only to have them cancel my call when it went into closing hours. The application I filled out for The Home Insurance People was simple and quick. I got the quotes, contacted an agent (Carrie C) who answered immediately to review my information. The revised quotes came in based on my new values at $400 cheaper than my new policy was going to be as well as the coverage was twice as good. The whole transaction took less than and hour of my time. Carrie was so helpful and pleasant to deal with. I recommended them to my sister for when her policy expires. GREAT company!!!

I am so glad I followed up on the Insurance quote offered by HIP Home Insurance. I will now save hundreds on my annual cost and get more comprehensive coverage. I also like the fact that HIP will provide me with competitive quotes from alternative insurers at renewal time. This should be a lot better than just getting the one (usually increased) renewal fee from the current insurer.Also can't say enough about the pleasant, prompt and very competent service provided by Marianne. She made everything so easy.

She put together a policy that matched my current one and recommended switching to a different provider. I ended up saving over $1,000 in premiums. I had a great experience getting home insurance with Carrie at HIP.I'm new to BC. I obtained on-line quotes from the most popular 8-10 minute BC insurance sites on the internet: The quotes I got were twice the price I was expecting. I called HIP and I got a friendly voice in less than a minute. Carrie was very polite, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and concerns concisely. She took me through the quote process so that I understood the issues and selected options appropriate for me. Carrie prepared my quote and delivered a home insurance policy that has better coverage than the other quotes, at half the price. I will definitely use HIP in the future and recommend HIP to others.

I spoke with Carrie yesterday morning and inquired about an online quote from HIP. She told me that she would get me the best quote she could and that she would get it to me within 15 minutes and she did. She emailed me the quote and we were very happy with it as it is better then what quote we were given from an insurance company we had been with for years. I also asked her about glass coverage and she sent that quote within 15 minutes as well. She was courteous and friendly and made the whole process easy. We are pleased with how quick and efficient she was and what a great rate we got for our home insurance. We will definitely be recommending HIP to our family and friends. It was the great commercials that I had seen for the past year or so that prompted me to finally call when it was time to renew our home insurance. Very happy that I contacted the Home Insurance People after a referral from a family member! It is my first time getting Tenant Insurance and I was a little unsure how to proceed, but Carrie was magnificent. She was very personable and pleasant on the phone, answered every question (including the ones I forgot to ask but should have!) and she replied very quickly. My insurance for my rental alone was over 600 and increased after just one year. Instead of waiting for me to respond to their email they literally phoned me about 2 dozen times, it was very invasive and I inevitably found a provider for a bit less as well. Very money hungry and obvious there is incentive to sell insurance. I was totally taken aback by the positive reviews my experience was nothing like theirs and I'm deeply suspicious.

HIP has the most helpful staff that will find you the best rates! Rosie was so helpful and helped me find the best rate for my home insurance. Saved me $1000 from my bank's rate. Most recently, when it came time to renew, I was contacted to let me know my current insurance company was raising my premium and Carrie at HIP found me another company offering the same coverage for less money. I didn't even have to ask! Carrie did the research before she even contacted me and then emailed me to let me know how I could save money. So impressed!
