It is never pleasant to write a bad review. If one goes to a place - a bar, a restaurant, anywhere - it is for having a good time, a nice experience. In the case of Le Bergerac was even worse: I couldn’t get there.I’m going to Saguenay in a couple of weeks and I wanted to make reservations at the best restaurants in the region, and Le Bergerac is in everybody’s list as one of the best.If it is one of the best reviewed restaurants in the area, it is because many people have had great meals there; that is something I cannot deny.I tried three times to reserve at Le Bergerac. The first, I used the contact form on their website. The next day a very rude lady called me; when I spoke in English she replied, not very nicely, that she didn’t speak English; when I switch to my not-very-good French, she hung up.Second time I used the reservation form on the website – that I didn’t see the first time – I never got a confirmation.Finally, I called. I respected the fact that they want people to speak French. Again, a very nasty lady told me that they won’t be open the day I would like to go.So that’s it. I won’t go to Le Bergerac, and now I will never go. This seems a place that doesn’t want me in, and certainly, a place I don’t want to go to.

Malheureusement j'avais un long cheveux dans mon risotto. Je l'ai montré à la serveuse. Elle s'est sauvé avec mon plat et m'en a apporté un autre. Je n'ai pas eu le temps de manger. Elle a fait payer mon assiette à la personne qui m'accompagnait. C'est pas fort.

Les mots ne peuvent pas décrire l'expérience culinaire que ce restaurant nous apporte. Le service est impeccable, le choix de vin est extraordinaire et l'explosion de saveurs en bouche en fera un incontournable pour fêter des moments importants avec ma conjointe.

L’ambiance était bonne pendant la soirée. Cependant, en plein samedi, ils ont augmenté l’intensité de la lumière dès 21:30 et le son de la musique à 21:45. C’était plutôt déplacé et maladroit. La nourriture était bien, mais le poisson trop cuit et les craquelins non harmonieux avec les fromages. Pour nous, c’est une déception.

Wow c’était délicieux! Personnel serviable et accueillant! Le propriétaire est extraordinaire a essayer absolument… l’aile de raie étais sublime wow belle découverte!

Nous avons eu la chance de célébrer notre mariage au Bergerac. En plus d’avoir profité d’un repas gastronomique exceptionnel, Madame Linda et Monsieur Pouliot nous ont accueilli et offert un service exemplaire et chaleureux. Ils ont été accommodants et ont contribué à rendre notre mariage magique! On n’aurait pas pu rêver mieux! ❤️

Linda was our server and while we didn’t speak much French she was very patient and kind with us, she was genuinely so kind and lovely and the personification of hospitable! Everything was delicious, the duck was a bit over cooked and dry so I don’t recommend it but everything else was absolutely fantastic.
