Well no need to update this. Still horrible service. Called five times and waited for a rep. HUNG UP ON FIVE TIMES !!! They wouldn’t give their name and wouldn’t even wait for me to answer the question before they hung up ! How disgusting for these buffoons to represent a government office. Obviously management does not care. No accountability.UPDATE!!!Boy was I ever wrong!Obviously my first encounter was a fluke. I have called and left messages for over a month and Mr Howe deems me not worthy of his time to return my calls. Very unprofessional and borderline incompetent. Shameful……………………….::::::::::::::::::::::::From my one experience with this office I have absolutely no complaints. On reading the other reviews I was expecting the worst. These are messed up times for all of us and especially working remotely. Have some patience.Ms Kinney(?) , you are a rockstar!!!Thank you all.

I have been working with the social Security Administration for some time and have nothing but kind words for the workers in the office. My wait times were not lengthy and the customer reps were professional. Unfortunately, today over the phone the service rep. was horrific. The minute she started asking me questions she was rude and condescending. She screamed she was sick!!! I hope this was recorded and I am going to pursue this further. This type of person should not be handling calls or even working with the public. She hung up the phone...... I will be talking to her supervisors. This is unacceptable treatment.

The line moves quickly there are a lot of people so I would get here early

They do not allow scheduling appointments before you come in in person.Do not respond to written requests or appeals within reasonable time (4 weeks)!If they finally respond, the information is incorrect most of the time and a new request needs to be mailed, which starts the clock again.On site office visit: agent informed me I had to submit a document that I had submitted earlier - she was in possession of my letter, which had the document in question attached.All in all extremely difficult to deal with Pontiac staff. Terrible experience.P.S. Complaints filed with national SSA has not gotten me any response at all.

Prepared myself to be waiting a while and I hardly waited at all! The security guard was very kind and helpful to everyone that walked in. He even came to make sure I had my ticket because he thought I had been waiting a while. Once my number popped up on the screen I went back to my window and the man that helped me was also very pleasant. I was in and out in 30 minutes!

90% of the time if someone working here tells me something, another employee will tell me there's no possible way anyone could have said that. its been 6 months of receiving benefits and Ive had to call about issues almost every month. kinda thought after the years of fighting for benefits it wouldn't be as difficult receiving them every month. Now i will be a week late on all my payments because all of a sudden SSA decided to pay me a week late from now on and all anyone could do is shrug.

AWFUL customer service. I’ve been hung up on several times. I flew in town to get replacement ssc. THEY LOST MY ORIGINAL DOCS FOR MONTHS!!!! They took no responsibility. Spoke to me horribly. Mr. Mann should not be in management with a horrible attitude & Emmy should not be employed by consistently talking rude and hanging up in peoples face.People like this do NOT need to deal with customers, especially elders. I couldn’t imagine what elders go through dealing with these non empathetic people.I will be filing formal complaints with the higher ups.

I called because I did not receive my new year statement. I had heard horror stories of how long people waited on hold. I was on hold 13 minutes and the lady who answered was exceptionally efficient and nice.

Thank you Ms Simon. You made our day so much easier. You encouraged my Grandson and gave him great tips to start out in life. You are a wonderful Blessed person. Thank you.

It’s 2023 and they still haven’t made a system to get customers moving
