Very warm and friendly congregation. Great social justice church with the food bank, food pantry and overnight men's shelter being hosted in the church hall.

The most wonderful Church I had ever have had in a church including the foodbank. I just don't know how I could become a member of the church, Baptist as Catholic, Confirmed as an Anglican and then married nondenominational because I didn't know where I belonged in the Lord's life. I'd a member of the clergy I could use some help knowing where I belong. Laura Fougere

So glad to hear that this church is still around. I look forward to seeing it reflect the future buildings around it. The park is quite cool to chill in and have a pizza from across the street

Every Thursday morning from 9 am to 11 am, Christ Church Hall, behind Christ Church on Dundas Street, opens it's doors to area residents who need food and clothing. There are tables and chairs in the center of the room for seating while other tables against the walls hold bread, specialty foods, vegetables, clothing, and various odds and ends like books, toys, bedding, dishes, etc. When you arrive you're given a number, a pen, and a small form listing basic food items that you're asked to check off if you need them. After announcements are made and the Lord's Prayer is recited, you can go to the various tables and take things that you need. You can also enjoy coffee, tea, juice, donuts, and snacks. When your number is called you register your name using your health card, and pass your food list to a worker, along with a reusable bag. When your number is called a second time, another worker brings out your bag filled with groceries. The workers are kind and helpful, the coffee is delicious, and you're welcome to return in two weeks time to access more food.

Went to the Dartmouth crafters market and it was fabulous! Tonnes of hand made items like soaps, shirts, jewelry, and musical instruments.

I’m not a member of this congregation, nor am I religious…but I have interacted with this church in various ways over the last few years via volunteering with the Dartmouth community fridge they host on their property, and wellness checks at the men’s shelter they house in their hall. If every church interacted with their community as inclusively and selflessly as Christ Church, then we would be much better off. They also host a free library and food bank, and previously hosted 2 single unit dwellings. Thank you for going above and beyond.

I wish I could go into the negative 0 on the experience I had at this church with my late husband's internment. Unprofessional, zero empathy and just disgusted. Nothing about my experience here boarded on anything resembling Christianity.
