Bronte Movers & Cartage Ltd.

We moved from Oakville to a place 3.5 hours out of town and Bronte Movers were great. The final pricing did come in a bit higher than originally estimated, but nothing too outrageous, and we were told from the beginning that it was just an estimate, and other variables could be factored in during the move. We did also receive a quote from Burloak Movers and were quoted $2,000 more and they were going to load up the truck the night before and move us the following day. Bronte Movers arrived promptly at 8am and were professional, quick and efficient at getting the truck loaded by 11:30am. It was an extremely long day for the guys but they never showed any frustration nor did they move any slower by the end of the day. They left our new home at 8:30pm with a long ride back and a 7:30am job waiting for them the next day. A huge shout out to Vernon, Steve and Jack for doing such an awesome job with smiles on their faces and even a few laughs in between. And NOTHING was broken or damaged. We would recommend Bronte Movers and would use them again, but hopefully we're staying put for a while now, moving is not for the faint of heart! ;)

I can't recommend Bronte Movers enough - it made the huge chore of moving so much easier to deal with such a professional company. From the start, we received a fair and accurate quote for our move and on the day of moving itself, the team worked fast and incredibly efficient. They asked questions, received direction easily and generally just worked very well with us. We hope we don't have to use them again for a long time but if and when we do, they will be the only company we call.

I highly recommend this company and its team of helpful and professional individuals. They even helped to put furniture together. I am extremely pleased with the work this team performed. Efficient, helpful, kind and respectful. If you want to have a smooth move, hire this company. You will not be disappointed. I also had to store my belongings and did so with Bronte. This review covers our move in 2 parts. I will update this review upon completion.Bronte Movers handled our move from our house to storage. We booked them for a long distance move from storage to the east coast. As part of the move to storage, Bronte packed our TVs and kitchen contents. We chose this service (costing $900+) because we trusted that professional movers would pack items properly and to ensure that the moving insurance covers these contents.Several events happened during our initial move that eroded our confidence in the professionalism of Bronte Movers. I could hear the crew complaining about the weight of the boxes that the packer packed. The crew made comments about the inexperience of the packer. The lead on our move was careless. He put the boxes in question on his hand cart and allowed them to crash down one step at a time on the way out of the house. This mover was also careless with other aspects, including marking our wood floors during disassembly of a bed. Also, the crew crashed our piano into a wall causing drywall damage that I needed to repair before our house closed. (I’ve had this small apartment piano moved 4x, and Bronte was the only company to cause damage.)Given this experience, we expect to open the boxes Bronte packed and find broken items. We voiced our concerns regarding packing & handling to Bronte. Bronte assured us that the packer was experienced and professional. Also, Bronte advised that a claim can only be made if they unpack the boxes. (I will update when I open the boxes, but know that Bronte will assume NO responsibility.)Now, onto part 2. We gave Bronte the benefit of the doubt and continued to book them for our move east. In large part, because we paid Bronte to pack our most fragile items and the insurance coverage this provided. Bronte gave us a quote as the agent for Great Canadian, and we made a deposit. Bronte/GC was not the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. AFTER I made the deposit, Bronte informed me that the price per lb. increased from $.68 to $.88/lb. This change is a difference of THOUSANDS. Bronte promises price matching on their website, so I produced an estimate from a national competitor. Bronte/GC would not match the price/lb and cancelled my deposit less than 3 weeks before our move. Now I’m stuck trying to find another mover at this late stage, and the $900+ of boxes they packed are not covered by any other movers’ insurance. None of the items we paid to have packed are covered. Fingers crossed we still have working TVs and whole dishes/china.This experience is beyond disappointing. I would not recommend Bronte for any move.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish with Bronte Movers. From the quote which was comprehensive, to the scheduling which was seamless, & the excellent team who were so friendly, courteous, professional and EFFICIENT!All of our belongings were very well cared for and placed where we indicated; no damage whatsoever. They even moved some appliances from one level to the other in our new house. After all that, the bill came in below the original quote!The Bronte Movers team are honest and professional and we could not have asked for a better moving experience. 100% would recommend :)))

Not sure where to start- I had very high hopes for this company, and they completely fell short in every way.From the swearing of the crew/movers, (in front of our two children) to the insincerity, dishonesty ghat followed our move (they ruined a carpet as well as a piece of furniture) and we have yet to see any compensation and or ownership of their responsibility.Truly- this is my first Google review, but feel very compelled to share what a negative experience we had with Bronte movers.Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere- Chris does NOT hold true to anything he says.*After reading response from Bronte movers, and unfortunately because of their dishonesty pertaining to the carpet (master bedroom rug was less then a month old at time of move, essentially brand new, and was NOT in perfect condition upon delivery but rather completely shredded from a pull from a quick and careless job done by the crew. Sadly this has has to go to lawyers.*

I Used the services for Bronte Movers to move into a condo building in toronto. They wrapped up my TV in a blanket. I went to plug my TV in and it was broken/ they won't do anything to fix it. Terrible experience with them and will never use their services again.

I supported my parents on a big move today. They used Bronte Movers to go from a 6 bedroom house to a two bedroom condo. We had a stop along the way to drop a few things off at another house and even had a sit waiting on keys. With new floors going in we asked for everything to be piled the best they could to one room. Kevin, Greg and Daniel were absolutely fabulous from the moment they walked in till the moment they walked out almost 12 hours later. Fast, efficient, kind and professional every step of the way. If you ever need movers, you want these guys to be at your home!

Used Bronte movers on February 1, my fourth time doing so! First time writing a review, but after the awesome experience we had with Jack, Vern, and Ethan I thought it was time. We felt like we were in great hands, the organization, and personal touch points we got before the move was appreciated, especially since it was shortly after the snowstorm that we got in Toronto. These guys were incredibly professional, efficient, great communicators and very friendly! They treated our belongings with respect, and always checked with us to make sure that things were going where they should. They even helped us clear a walkway that we had forgotten about at our new place, really impressed with how they went above and beyond. If you’re looking for reliable movers look no further - genuinely. Moving is stressful but when you have this type of help it’s not so bad. Thanks again for getting us into our new place smoothly!
