Doula Kimberly - Montreal

(Writing from my perspective as the father)Having Kimberly there made everything a much better experience.Starting with the prenatal meetings, she walked us through what to expect leading up to, during, and after the birth and allowed us to ask any questions we had. She was very knowledgeable and made it comfortable to even ask even the question we though might seem quite silly/trivial.During the (26hr) labour, she stayed with us at the hospital, only taking a few well deserved breaks. Her presence here was indispensable.Although we had read a bunch of books, and had asked a bunch of questions, the process can still be quite daunting, and you may have trouble recalling all that information. It was very comforting to have Kimberly there to discuss information/choices we were receiving from the hospital staff.Apart from the intellectual" comfort she brought

We had a great experience. We hired Kimberly before the pandemic started, we therefore quickly had to adjust and Kimberly accompanied us through all the prenatal classes via videoconference. Even if we were not able to have her at the hospital due to the new protocols, we were able to communicate via phone and it was very reassuring to know we had someone on our side the whole time. Finally, covering breastfeeding before birth was definitively a good idea which Kimberly had planned! Great experience.

I feel so lucky to have had Kim's support as we welcomed our first child. She was very helpful during the whole process, particularly during the stressful first few weeks at home as we navigated feeding problems. She answered many of my questions beforehand, so I felt calm and confident during the delivery. Several months later, we are both feeling healthy and energetic. If you are looking for a doula, I highly recommend working with Doula Kimberly.

She immediately made us comfortable, answered all our questions and gave us so much useful information that really helped put my mind at ease about what to expect.During labour, she was the perfect balance of attentive care and strength, she had many pain management techniques and adapted to what I needed at every moment. Having her with us at the hospital was so great, she stayed by our side during the entirety of the labour and birth. Her presence was calming and reassuring, especially in the post-Covid hospital environment.The home visit in the first week was also very useful, we loved having the consistency of someone that had seen us through the whole process.I highly recommend her services to anyone giving birth. She truly surpassed our expectations and was an indispensable addition to all stages of the birthing experience. Thank you so much Kimberly!
