Kumon Math and Reading Centre of Vaughan - Weston & Major MacKenzie

My children have been struggling with math and English for the longest time, however I have seen AMAZING improvement in their critical skills in both subjects! The staff at Kumon are always welcoming and supportive!

I have been a parent with children at Kim's Kumon Centre for Math and Reading program for almost 12 years now. My older son completed all his Math and Reading levels and the younger one is in Level N Math having completed his Reading program. The staff is really wonderful and take pains in ensuring that the child develops skills in both math and reading. Based on my older son's experience, I am convinced that the program is extremely beneficial as it helps build confidence and prepares them not only for High School but University as well.Highly recommend!Lopa

I have been sending my four children to this Kumon Centre in Woodbridge since they were in kindergarten all through high school. Kim and the staff at the centre are so caring and are quick to go the extra mile for us when needed. This centre has supported my children in a way that made them feel cared for and supported all throughout their school years. They took the time to get to know each of my children and what their individual needs were. My children were in both the reading and math programs and they grew up confident with their studies which has been a direct effect of the program. They are and were all at the top of their class and are able to quickly solve math problems that leaves their peers in awe wondering how they do it! They are able to skip steps that other older students must do to solve math problems because of Kumon math. This has helped my older children who are in university tremendously as they are able to focus on the material and not the mechanics of solving a math or physics problem. The English program incorporates the material covered at school so they were well prepared not just for Language/English subjects but other subjects as well. The skills they received are beyond measure. This centre has become an extended family for us and we will miss everyone so much now that my youngest is leaving. Thank you Kim and everyone for the wonderful memories that my children and I will cherish always!

Former student here, kumon has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and has helped me to accelerate my math skills far above where they would be had I never attended. I highly recommend this place as a way to help your child improve their math and reading. The work is relevant and useful, especially at lower levels, and the tutors have always been kind and helped me out. If your child may be struggling or you wish for them to go beyond what is provided by the school system, this is the place to go.

In 2019, after looking into number of different options, we picked this Kumon Math and Reading Centre for our child. It came highly recommended by our neighbors, to whom we are grateful.The owner and the staff genuinely care about success of every child. They did not just help our son strengthen math and reading comprehension skills, but also helped him become a more independent thinker, taught him importance of commitment and consistency.If you are considering the Kumon method for you child, this is definitely the Centre to join!

Kumon has helped my grade 3 and 7 build a solid foundation, and with their continued support during the pandemic, my kids did not fall behind. Kumon have helped my boys gained confidence over the years, they are both excelling in math, it’s now their favourite subject. Kumon has helped my brother and I always be one step ahead of the Math we learn at school! Super helpful, and all the instructors are very kind. It is very convenient for us to do our work and learn at our own pace.

In our experience this centre has been great for our children to build strong foundation and stay ahead in their Math skills. Time and accuracy that Kumon program promotes helped my two sons through out their elementary and secondary school system. The friendly and caring staff has been instrumental in keeping our children's passion and interest to stay on it as long they could. The centre always kept us informed regularly on schedules etc, and also on the progress of our children.

Kumon is an amazing after school program for all kids and very helpful to learn. Kumon teaches both math and reading and has amazing workers to help students too.
