MacKye Kennels

Very happy with the service we received here. Excellent and passionate Staff, very reasonable prices and well developed facilities for your pet. Really appreciated being able to tour the kennels beforehand for the piece of mind. Staff were very friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. Was also nice to have updates posted on Facebook to keep up with your pets while you are away.

Joanne looks after our extra large breed dog. She is so kind and loving towards him and he loves going for holidays at MacKye. I never worry about our pup when he stays there.

Very safe and clean. Rigorously checks vaccinations to keep the kennel population healthy. My cats and dogs love staying here.

Joanne is awesome, the kennel was spotless and the dogs were all very content and happy!

Found her to be quite rude and dismissive. Opted to not bring my dog there. Also the outside area seemed quite small given the amount of property around the kennel.

Whoever we met was rude and dismissive. It says on their website that they do tours, so we were keen to have one, especially since you didn't need to book an appointment to do so. So we just showed up, during business hours, hoping to speak to someone about boarding. After we parked the car, we went to the building that looked like an office and knocked on the door. Inside, we saw a room full of dogs, all loose, all unattended. (Which was kind of a red flag because that many dogs should not be unsupervised.) It was only then that someone came to see us. She was abrupt, cold, and seemed annoyed that we were there. We weren't given any information, and she immediately sent us away. We were told: no, no tour, if you want to see the facility, come back another day. Ok, no problem - we took our business elsewhere.

So grateful for MacKye Kennels, this was our first time leaving our pup and we never felt worried know Joanne and her staff were taking care of him. The updates on Facebook were so nice. Thanks Joanne!

This kennel is closed" on Sundays. If you leave for the week you have to drop your dog off on Saturday and pay for an extra day. Scam."
