We tried both latte and a cappuccino. Both were very good. They serve them in a nice white mug. They have cute sitting area outside and plenty of tables inside. They also have a second floor. It was service with a smile. We definitely planning to go back.

My favourite JJ Bean location. The staff are consistently pleasant & relaxed, making a great cup of coffee every time. Delicious house baked goods as well.

I don't know how they do it, but their vanilla lattes are incredibly yummy, as are their baked goods (which are generously sized, as well). (I suspect the latte quality is about good beans/roasting, combined with an unusually generous use of vanilla syrup.) The ambiance is relaxed and social, and the location is very bright. They have long tables, as well as small ones, so you can choose how social or private your time here will be. Street parking is easy and plentiful, on Alberni, though it runs $6/hr. (obably the reason it's so easy to find). This place offers great value for the price, if parking is excluded.

Be careful that staff won't ask if u want eat in or take out, you have to say it first otherwise the price will be higher, I found it and staff change it for me so I didn't pay higher price. Coffee is wonderful even me as a coffee dummy can taste the difference, everything croissant is fantastic, I'm glad I choose it not butter croissant.

Had their red beet latte, which was nicely presented and the latte art even held up during consumption! The raspberry oatmeal muffin was huge and reasonable at $4.25. A good place to stop for morning coffee with a decent food selection! We did have an incident with the service as we were automatically charged for take-out cups. The staff didn't ask if we were eating in or taking out. After we had paid and they started bagging our muffins, we had mentioned we'd be eating in but they never offered to reverse the charges (we had also given a small tip when paying). It'd be nice if staff confirmed to avoid customers paying unnecessary charges.

Can't go wrong with JJ Bean. Much prefer it over SB's over roasted beans. This may be one of their nicest locations.

Such a great classic coffee shop vibe that doesn’t get enough creditFood: I can only speak to their baked goods. My friend used to work there and she said that JJ bakes their own baked goods which is great because I know some coffee shops out there don’t even make their own food. The baked goods are so wholesome tasting. I always get the morning glory muffin or the banana loaf. Not super fancy, but very comforting.Service: well staffed on a Saturday afternoon, the person at the till was nice and when I grabbed my coffee there was someone there to say thank you.Atmosphere: Wholesome. Cozy. Classic coffee shop. I LOVE this place. This is the coffee shop where you come to read, write or have a small coffee chat with a friend.

Very pleasant staff and a quick turn around time! I never find there is much of a line even early in the morning during the work rush. Lots of seating and an area upstairs if you want to do some work. Would highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful cafe with great coffee with the distinctive JJ Bean taste. I prefer their hot coffee as I find their cold coffee to contain too much ice. Unlike some cafes, their wifi works in the patio too. Most of the baristas are friendly and take the effort to ensure your drink is well presented
