We stopped for dinner at Boots Bar & Grill on our way out of the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It is conveniently located between the park exit and I-94 East. The service was top notch, and the food was excellent. You should add this to your short list of restaurants if you plan to stay in the national park relatively late - or possibly leave for a bite before returning for more fun.

Passing through Medora and staying overnight, so we stopped in to order burgers to go and enjoy a few draft beers. Really nice spacious western style restaurant and bar. Very attentive service and good burgers and onion rings. The local draft beers were also excellent. We will definitely stop in again!

. We had the mushroom burger and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was better. . I like all places that have a flight of beer and beer was good . Service was not good. Waitress was not friendly. Did not bring all the things we asked for . If you want ranch with fries ask for2-3 when ordering they are half filled little cups. She never came back to fill water either. So food good service not great.

Had the Walleye Basket and it was outstanding. Service was very good. My double gin/tonic was not so good. A busy place and would stop by again.

Great choice for lunch sandwiches! Server suggested The Killdeer with fries and it was excellent. Only took about 8 minutes to get our food. Try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

We sat on the outside patio, 2nd floor, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The brussel sprouts were amazing, as well as the burgers. We even saw horses atop the nearby hill.

We were staying in town at the Rough Riders Hotel. We got into town kinda late and ask what was open to eat and were referred to the Boots Bar & Grill. Lets just say it was Wonderful!! I had no idea what chokecherry pepper jelly was, but knew that I liked fruit with pork, so I had to try the Grilled Pork Chop with this crazy jelly... The two went together perfect!! I wasn't too crazy about the blanched brussels sprouts, but I had plenty to eat. My wife got the Fish Basket, I sampled it and it was great too!!On our second night in town... we were running late again, even later than the night before and ends up this was the only place open. NO regrets!! This time I just had to try the Bourbon BBQ Burger and my wife got the Killdeer sandwich. Both where very delicious!!We were stuffed both nights!! I don't know if we will ever be back in this area, but if we are... we know where to eat!!Service was great both nights. The town drunk was a little loud on the first night, but didn't bother us since they were across the room. I met the manager briefly while purchasing a bumper sticker from their souvenir case. He seemed very nice and was eager to help.We Highly recommend stopping in here for a great meal and cold drink!!

Great food and fast service. We came due to a thunderstorm that prevented us from cooking dinner at our campsite in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It was fairly busy but we found an empty table. The service was fast even though it was busy. We got burgers and enjoyed our food. Definitely recommend if you are in Medora.
