The only place one should shop for beautiful rugs!Nima was a pleasure to work with and is extremely knowledgeable about the rugs he sells. He walked us through the store describing the different weaves, materials, knot count, etc. in a simple and pleasant manner.Despite not having found a rug that fit our living room decor/space during our initial visit, Nima worked tirelessly to find and track down exactly what we wanted. It was the perfect fit and style for our living room and we could not be happier.Since purchasing our Persian rug a number of months ago, we have brought other rugs (100% Turkish silk, Persian silk/wool blend, etc.) to Nima for cleaning and repairs. Once again, he was a delight to work with and made sure to update us periodically on the progress of the work.Having now visited numerous rug dealers during our initial quest for our living room rug, there is no other place we would go to shop for rugs.Addendum - I felt it necessary to make this addition to my review above:We recently brought Nima the rug we have been using under our dining room table (100% Indian silk). As a result of chairs being pushed back and forth on the rug over the last decade, the fabric had been damaged, and the edges frayed. We weren't sure what, if anything, could be done to repair the damage. Well, leave it to Nima to work his magic. Within 2 weeks, Nima had the rug repaired and looking brand new. Once again, for any of your rug needs - Nima is who you want to go see!

Just purchased a beautiful silk and wool Qom carpet this week. It's exactly what I wanted, and got a great price.My family and I have been buying rugs from Pealac over the last 7 years, at the recommendation of another friend. The rugs are beautiful, but a huge reason why I go back, is the trust I have for the owner, Nima, who is always there. He seems to love what he does, and enjoys sharing his knowledge on the different designs with customers. He has so much patience and has never, ever been pushy.When buying something like a high-end rug, it makes me feel much more comfortable knowing the person I'm dealing with is honest. The first time I was looking to buy, went shopping along the Thornhill corridor of Persian rugs shops, and found that many (not all) were extremely unprofessional and pushy. Their prices were significantly higher, until they realized you had been shopping around, and then they would drop over 50% from what was initially their last price. After that, I came to Pealac and bought my first rug.Since Nima sources and sells the carpets personally, from his small shop, tucked in a location where most traffic is not walk-by, I would guess that there is less overhead, which maybe is one reason he keeps his prices exceptional. The other is his honest & humble nature.

Nima is a kind and honest man. I really enjoyed meeting him. He encouraged me to visit many rug shops to search for the right rug for me. There was no pressure to buy from him. When I brought him a photograph of a rug I saw elsewhere that was priced to high for me he arranged to have this rug made for me at a much more affordable price. He remained true to the price he quoted me and now I have a beautiful rug that I love.

Absolutely loved the store and Nima was such delight to work with. We purchased two beautiful rugs from him and couldn't be happier with how they look in our house. Nima was patient, knowledgeable, warm and nice,. He went through piles of different rugs with us and listened to what we wanted. He doesn't try to play games with you and the rugs are priced very reasonably. Highly recommend!

Nima accomplished three things for me. He explained the different kinds of rugs and by doing so helped me understand why I liked some but not others. He helped me overcome my suspicions regarding the industry as a whole. Finally, he helped me find a perfect rug. Returning soon to buy another.Update: I did return and found a beautiful silk rug. Sadly, I had neither floor nor wall space for it. Nima pointed out that in both the countries where the rugs are made and in parts of Eastern Europe, finer rugs are displayed on beds. (Apparently, the household servant lays the rug out in the morning and rolls it up at night.) I tried this out and I am thrilled with the result - even without a servant!!Michael Hussey

Nima went to huge efforts to help us find the perfect Persian carpet for our home. He's very knowledgeable and helped us understand many important things about how these carpets are made. We enjoyed the 2 busy hours we spent in his shop discovering beauty.

Always welcoming. These are more than a rug but unique and beautiful works of art. The rugs are incredible and have brightened up our house and withstand kid traffic. Nima is very knowledgeable and helps you find the perfect fit. Incredible quality, will last a lifetime.
