Bar Ape Gelato

Yum! Creativity in flavours is what makes this place so special. I enjoyed the cardamom, and was disappointed they sold out toasted rice before I got there. You think the servings are small, but once you eat they are very satisfying. Be sure to have cash on hand.

Always love coming here - the soft serve gelato is amazing. A small menu with a rotating special makes it easy to decide- but you really can’t go wrong. The vanilla sundaes with any of the sauces are great if the weekly special isn’t your cup of tea. I’m also a big fan of the gelato bars. Cash only, line moves quickly.

The menu changes every week and they always have fresh and tasty gelato! On the weekends the line up is crazy but is moves relatively fast- worth the wait :)*It’s cash only tho!

visited on a Saturday evening 2 weeks ago, long queue but it moves quickly.Apparently, their flavors change every week w/ some fixed ones. 3 different varieties to have your gelato : Soft Serve, Bar & Sundae. First time having gelato in bar or soft serveHad the Mango soft serve & the pistachio bar. Flavor on each hit the notes perfectly !! Mango was a tad bit sweet but pistachio was great !!Cash only as others have mentioned. But, totally worth it.p.s Visited today to try the flavor of the week: Mango Chilli Soft Serve - the chilli aftertaste was amazing..Less sweeter (read perfect) than the Mango soft serve from earlier. Also, tried the Chocolate Hazelnut bar - dark chocolate feel & hazelnut notes went so well together !!

It’s become a summer tradition to try the new flavours here every week! They post their weekly flavours on Instagram. Very unique flavour combos and the creamiest gelato I’ve had in Toronto. Cash only.

LOVE IT. Every week they come up with a new bomb flavour. I try to go there every weekend so I don't miss on the new flaves. Quality, taste and creativity is literally the best and the staff are awesome!!!

The smoothest gelato in Toronto, in soft-serve form. The line is huge and it moves relatively slowly and it is cash only but the gelato is phenomenal.The sundae uses fior di latte soft-serve gelato in case the rotational flavours don’t speak to you.

I love their gelato and everything they do. There are no seats, it is a service window and then you take your gelato to go.We went in the evening, the line was a bit long but it does go by very quickly. I don’t think we were waiting for more than 10 minutes. They only take cash, they have new flavours every week. I got the chocolate malt and salted caramel. You can tell the caramel is homemade, both were divine. Highly recommend.

Bring cash (cash only)!!! Really great place for gelato and soft serve. I tried the fresh mint twist with chocolate gelato and it was phenomenal. The only downside is it’s cash only… had to go to an ATM and come back to the line up. Most good ice cream spots have line ups so that’s expected. Overall, it was yummy and I’d return!

Worth the hype! We got the salted caramel and Earl Grey gelatos and their pistachio bar - they were all fantastic. There was a long lineup but the line moved very quickly, so we didn't have to wait for long. Will be back to try out other flavours.
