Another tech assessed and said the failures are due to a poor initial installation

We had bought an air conditioner from Furnace Room four years ago, it had worked great last four summers. Now our old furnace was acting up, and stopped working last week, so we contacted the same sales Mike, who helped us to get a Trane furnace installed yesterday. Overall it was a great experience, first-rate installation and service. The two installers have taken their time, done an excellent job, cleaned well after, and even fixed our dryer vent. all in all we will be more than happy to recommend this company to all of our friends when the time comes.

Avoid. Poor after-sales customer service. We had our AC, furnace, tankless water heater and humidifier installed by The Furnace Room about 5 years ago. The tankless water heater leaked and quit working on Dec 22, 2022. Parts were still under warranty while labor wasn't. A Furnace Room installer (also a not-so-close friend) found the heat exchanger broken on Dec 23. He said he would talk to the owner of The Furnace Room and we would get a response on Dec 26. We called him once a day on Dec 26-28 (to give him a few days due to the holiday), but he didn't pick up the phone or return our voice message. Finally, we called The Furnace Room on Dec 28. The front desk receptionist said the diagnostic fee would be $200 which could not be used as a credit toward the repair fee (even if we proceeded the repair with them). We pointed out other companies charged less and would use the diagnostic fee toward the repair. She went on and said $200 was nothing. Why would The Furnace Room charge us if $200 was nothing? If $200 was just the diagnostic fee, we couldn't imagine what crazy amount The Furnace Room would charge for the repair. We later found the diagnosis would just be the technician calling the manufacturer to go through some steps in order to get the warrantied parts. We couldn't believe how this company treated us after spending about $10,000 with them. Our advise is to stay away from this company.

Had an AC installation in my new home. I am very happy with the product and the experience overall. The sales recommended a Trane AC considering my needs and my budget. The installation crew was professional and overall very nice guys. Did a neat, professional and clean job. AC worked great for the entire summer.

My Air Conditioner had stopped working on a Friday during the hot long weekend. It was on its last legs as it was an original 25 year old unit along with original furnace.I reached out to Jay and his team and were able to come on extremely short notice. They provided multiple options and spent the time to over everything in detail. Jay and installation tech Kevin had provided exceptional services and went above and beyond.The team was able to complete the installation the next day. They took the time to go over what was completed and cleaned up after the installation was finalized.I would highly recommend their services

Very happy with their service - called in for a repair on my air conditioner and the technician came on time, was very professional, changed the parts, overall a smooth, hassle-free repair experience. Got the job done efficiently, and AC has been working well since. Price was fair.

Had The Furnace Room install our TRANE heat pump with 2 indoor mini splits for heating and AC almost 4 years ago and it’s been working perfectly. We had them back late last year to replace one of the blower fans under warranty. Just recommended them for my sister’s furnace replacement.
