Have been bringing our rescue dog here for a few years now and have always received the best service and care. Our dog was so nervous (having been a rescued stray) but the kindness and patience of all the staff, along with Dr Steinebach’s skills & experience have made all of our visits easy. Over the years of pet ownership, I have found that some vets are great with animals but not people and some vice versa, but this team are great with the clients at both ends of the leash!

The reception staff and vet assistants were kind and understanding. Very patient and friendly. Our dogs were well treated though one had to be sedated prior to the visit. The Vet was gentle and answered all my questions.

On December 22nd we took our beloved dog Maddy to Valley Veterinary for end of life care. I would just like to thank them for their outstanding level of care and compassion during this very difficult time for us. Their understanding of what we were going through made the situation much more bearable. The condolences card with the kind words from your staff brought tears to my eyes. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

This is a great place to take your animal. My cat seemed to have two good visits and we'll be coming back for any other needs.Update: We had to take Churro in for an examination and we were able to get him in the same day, which was great.

Thank you to Dr Steinebach and all the caring staff at Valley Veterinary for helping us through the stress of saying goodbye to Kitty today. Your compassion, thoughtfulness, and professionalism made the sad process much more bearable. Also, arranging for us to enter and exit the clinic through a private door, to a private room, was greatly appreciated.Regards,Harry and Carol Lange

We brought our cat here to get put down, his quality of life had just taken a rapid decline that day. They were very accommodating on getting him in on such short notice. When we got there the vet recommended for us to have blood-tests and urine tests done to ensure it was time. I was on board with this, I wouldn't want to put down an animal if they still had a chance but we expressed our concerns many of times about how worried we were with his behavior. The main problem comes the next day when we were supposed to get the results, our cat was not moving, drinking or eating anymore, we called the clinic to tell them know and they said that vet would get back to us with the results. The vet called 15 minutes later and said that everything that came back was curable. Again we expressed our concerns of our cats health, but they recommended some medications and food to help him eat. We went in grabbed everything and treated our cat right away.An hour later our cat collapsed coming out of his litterbox, we knew there was absolutely no way his health was coming back. We ended up rushing him to Langley where they said he only had a few minutes left before they had put him down.I don't 100% blame the vet for how events transpired, we could've made the choice. I just wished they would've listened better to us telling them our cat was not doing okay.

Less then 1 star for us …We were recommended this vet as ours couldn’t get us in right away, Unfortunately we had a less then satisfactory situation with this vet.We were charged insane charges for our puppy for everything EXCEPT what was actually needed. Almost $2000.00 the only good thing was IV fluids, however nothing else helped our lifeless lethargic sick puppy.Only for our puppy to end up at Langley hospital with Parvo ! We spent ANOTHER $8500 to save her life at the hospital ICU. They had her and us immediately in isolation and wouldn’t even let us in until her test was done outside. Langley specialty hospital did an amazing job but who can afford these prices… well we had no choice we love our puppy and couldn’t bare the other route. She had round the clock nasal feeding tubes, iv fluids, antibiotics and round the clock care and blood tests.Valley vet didn’t even check for parvo even tho our puppy had all the symptoms. No precaution was taken for this situation so unfortunately anyone’s dog who was in the vet was in close contact to Parvo. As a vet you would think with our puppy’s symptoms they would consider a Parvo check ASAP.I called 5 other vets in town,CheamFamily petKent vetChwk animal hospitalSardis animalAll of whom said if we had taken Our puppy in the first thing to be checked is PARVO !Parvo is going around Chilliwack really bad right now all the vets have mentioned it. So why was valley vet not aware and not taking precautions.Very disappointing and we willNot go back or recommend this vet to anyone. We have three dogs and are very dog savvy as well as know alot of people in town with dogs. When I called to ask to speak to the owner I was told they feel they did everything right even tho they did not even check for such a contagious illness going around right now. Our puppy could have died under there care waiting the so called 2-4 days for tests had we not gone to Langley hospital. Very upsetting for our entire family.
