Catholic churches were just one of the churches behind Residential Schools. Now they're making a profit from trying to sell orange shirts.As an Indigenous person who attended Catholic Schools my whole life. I do not recommend any Catholic school.

The Catholic School Board is an amazing school system with caring teachers and staff. They go out of their way to make a difference in the lives of their students. They have very good programs and support staff. Catholicity can often be seen through beautiful liturgies, school prayers, and the way that people care about each other.

Where do I begin??? Lacks management and accountability on all levels. Misused funds and time. Little to no care for the students with rigid and excessive requirements. ‘Professional Development’ days are neither but excuses to use taxpayer money to get days off.Employs people who do not live or represent the catholic lifestyle.There should be an independent audit and complete revamp of the system here.

little protection and help provided for lgbtqia+ students, plus the topic its self is rarely talked about or included in the curriculum.Most teachers are ok but the district its self needs a lot of work.

They really don’t do much to make me feel accepted being in a Catholic school system. They believe religion, and faith are superior to studies, and they say very controversial messages quite often. They also don’t do enough to support minority groups such as LGBTQ+, and residential school survivors, as well as honour the wrong types of figures. Religion is forced on you in this system unnecessarily. Recommend anyone to go public instead.

Here's a tip for my fellow reviewers: if you're not a Catholic, don't enrol your kids in a Catholic school. That'll save you from having to write online reviews complaining about Catholicism. Unless, of course, that was your intention all along. Or unless you don't even have kids.

I have been raised as a Catholic my whole life, and I went to Catholic schools my whole life and honestly the public school is nothing compared to the Catholic schools. The Catholic schools in Calgary are very helpful on a student individual basis and the public board not at all.

The school i currently go to is god awful. and i assume that the majority of them aren't much different. as if there is no regulation towards one; chances are there arent towards them all. The teachers can be friendly; but that's extremely rare. And according to the teachers themselves there is corruption in the main office; whether it be financial influence or another factor; teachers can pay off to have better things and an advantage in their classrooms. The budget is extremely misused; it all goes to waste.

It's a decent district. Can do better in some stuff though, like not selling orange shirts. They talk about indegiounus kids a lot but they never acknowledge the fact that they played a role in it too. Teachers are also fine, some a bit disorganized but that really isn't the district's fault. Overall could do better.
