Learned what I had to, some instructors shouldn't be working there as they have very little interest in their job (information technology). Everything course wise was rushed and some parts unnecessary. Mingling programming classes with networking? Who's bright idea was that?

This college has expanded and is very modern. The technology taught in this college is impressive

Took a course here a few years ago in sheet metal fabrication. Was told by the instructors in no uncertain terms that what we were learning was antiquated and we would likely never use what we were being taught. That should have been the first red flagThen I noticed only a few of the key" students got any kind of regular help in the shop. I was struggling

taken 2 courses here and both times its been the absolute worst school. Anyone looking to go here should save their time and just go to Oulton college or literally any other school.

Extremely poor communication skills. Won't tell you anything unless you virtually harass an instructor.

Great college campus with a varied culture and fantastic offerings. An excellent social and ethical pressence in its surrounding comminity as well as an outstanding set of instructors make this place a top choice if you are considering furthering your education in Moncton.

Save your money, save your time. They are KINGS of the Bait and Switch. Don't do it. My gripe isn't so much with the instruction as with the institution.NBCC is a Crown Corporation. The province owns it and a board runs it. The curriculum is based on what the province needs or values. I enrolled in a Alternate Energy program, which the province soon decided it would no longer invest in, leaving those who were already in the program, in a lurch. Knowingly learning 'antiquated information.' Some of the students were rightly upset, but were at a point where they just wanted to pass and get the heck out. None of the people I've stayed in touch with, would ever go back nor would they recommend attending NBCC in the first place. There are undoubtedly some fabulous courses and diplomas offered across the entirety of the campuses, but they reserve the right to change anything at anytime, and have demonstrated the willingness to do so.My experience with NBCC is that its a poor use of your time, and comes a very high risk. In my first year, one instructor asked me why I was even there at my age, so if you're thinking of going as a mature student, for a hobby or a career change, be prepared for ageism. In my second year, the curriculum was changed, and the problems really became serious, as the instructors were learning and teaching at least half of the content, on the fly. Some did a fantastic job, but the very core course material was taught by someone who simply could not teach. Legend has it, this instructor was superior at his craft, but I have numerous recordings of his class teaching and in office meetings, where he simply didn't know what he was talking about. There were weeks where other classes were not taught in order to allow this instructor to catch up and try to undo the teaching that was done the week before. Literally nothing good came from having this person as an instructor. Nice person, but terrible at conveying information in a helpful way.The result of the poor instruction was an increased drop out rate or course failure rate.Due to a mid-stream curriculum change and a questionably qualified key instructor, I withdrew.Queue the further nonsense - after I withdrew, I received an 'outstanding balance' notice. Magically appeared. Not related to my withdraw, but related to some first of the term admin stuff where the staff told me how much to write the check for, and apparently told me a wrong amount.Zero chance that balance will be getting paid. In fact, seriously considering legal action to recover the lost tuition and lost time. I'm not without evidence and I'm not without 'affidavits' that support and echo my claims. When an organization is willing to force students to retake classes that have already been passed, that's just greed and thievery. When they add irrelevant content in order to 'standardize' across the campuses, that's an issue. What do I mean? Everyone learns highschool level Newtonian physics, even when it has nothing to do with the course. You don't have to dig too far to see that some of the curriculum is antiquated or irrelevant. Of all the job promise offered in the course, the majority of the grad classes are employed in grossly unrelated fields.More money is spent on Marketing than finding or training instructors. When you enroll in NBCC, you are a victim of marketing. If you still decide to go, keep good notes on your experiences. You'll find that what you were offered is not likely to be what you receive. This is definitely a buyer beware situation.Friends don't let friends goto NBCC.

Love this school and am alumni from here myself, but I am not impressed with the carpentry program this year. When students got discouraged because lack of hands on learning and fell behind, teachers did not care to encourage them when school year fell apart when Covid closed the school. I think that the students from 2019-2020 should be able to come back next year after the spring break and continue the hands on course that they should have had a chance to complete. They did not complete any big projects at all. They were finally just about to start a deck and it closed down. You cannot learn proper carpentry with theory alone, especially being at home and not in the right environment, some people learn best by hands on to apply the theory to.

One of the best and biggest New Brunswick Community College campuses in the province. The Moncton campus can accommodate up to 1400 students and offers a large variety of courses, some of which are unavailable at other campuses.
