Sichuan Kungfu Fish麻省理功@RICHMONDHILL

It was my first time eating at Kungfu Fish, and it was a good experience. When we came, the restaurant wasn't busy yet so we sat wherever we wanted. She was attentive when we needed to order food, and was very patient as we were deciding which soup base to choose. Overall the servers were very friendly and were always attentive to refilling our tea. There's a menu for you pick your soup, and things you wanted to add in (some have an additional cost). The soup options have an icon that'll tell you how spicy it is.The food did not take too long to arrive after we placed our order, and wow it was huge! I loved watching how everything was starting to bubble and steam up, especially the smell of the soup was getting stronger. We ordered the Rattan Pepper soup (two pepper icon) with Basa Fillet and wow, everything tasted great. The soup at first did not seem spicy but it starts to kick in after a few more slurps. The fillet was tender and really helped balance the spiciness haha. Two people can generally share one order, which makes this restaurant a great shareable place with friends, family etc.Would I come back? Yes! There's a lot of soup choices I want to try next time.

Fish taste good. Been here couple times. Much better than Scarborough location. Staffs are friendly. Combo is worth the money. Parking is not a problem. Only thing I am not comfortable is the price of rice... Small and a bit over price. Overall is good one.

This is a different kind of hot pot experience. You choose the pots you like and the food comes to you in a pot already. You can also add on extra ingredients, which range from $1.99+.We chose cod pot with pickled cabbage soup base. Am not usually fond of pickled anything, but this one is good. It's not sour at all. Very tasty.We also chose a beef pot with chilli soup base that was recommended to us. We were told that it's a popular soup. Despite the 2 chilli warning sign, I found it to have a kick, but not burning spicy, so I actually enjoyed eating from this pot as well.The peach tea was a nice and refreshing drink from all the soups lol. I wished it was bottomless lol.Service was fine. They came regularly to refill the soups, as well as tend to our requests.I want to go back again. Yummy!!!!

Friendliest service ever! The one size fits all pot can feed myself and three children plus. Worth an adventure if you have never tried this style.

I really love the variety of dishes they have here. They not only have great tasting fish pots, however their menu also boasts an impressive variety of different meat and seafood dishes. The oysters and scallops are a MUST HAVE. Not only are they fresh tasting, but the dish is quite savoury with the fried garlic and scallion toppings. I loved their quick service and friendliness.

Not my cup of tea! The restaurant is very clean and service is excellent, however I wasn't a fan of the hot pot. I will be honest, I do not claim to be an afishinado on hot pot. I definitely know flavour and texture of amazing food. This isnt it! The pork was very rubbery and I didn't like the seasoning either.

Large Special Cod fillet with hot chilli sauce - $35+tax and tipVery small for 2 people. Fish was flakey but tender. More spicy than the waiter said it was going to be. Taste was ok.

Outstanding service and wonderful foodie experience. I actually ate here twice in a week because the first experience was so good. I had seafood combination one night and the lamb the second visit. Enjoyed the ability to select the seasonings and spice degree. Order and watch your dish cook before your eyes. Will be visiting again, anytime I get up this way!

Interesting place, nice decorations. Good selection of food. You can help yourself with kabobs before your main course comes. A bit pricey though. 7 females spent over $200 for lunch.
