Ratatouille Bistro
If you want a relaxing restaurant, great food., and wonderful service, you cannot miss Ratatouille Bistro! The food was excellent, very fresh and well prepared. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful, not only explained the menu with abundant knowledge and passion. He even asked if we have any plan during our visit, took his phone out to look for information, and recommended places he likes! I always know Canadians have highly reputation for being friendly, but this was way above my expectation!Highly recommended!

I don't write reviews, and if I do, it's either bad or REALLY GOOD.And let me tell you, this is REALLY GOOD!!!From the beautiful and cozy atmosphere to impeccable service to some of the most wonderful food in the ByWard Market area.The food is mouthwatering, and there is a wide selection, so there is something for everyone! My favorite (as I've already had it about 3 times) is the Scallops with Lobster risotto and veggies, and omg, the beef tartar!The owner is so nice and beyond knowledgeable, you can taste the love and passion in every bite.You won't regret giving this place a try, staying away is the hard part.If you've read this far, yay!Enjoy Ratatouille Bistro!!(Pictures of my duck form last time. I never take pictures because it's so good I just eat)

Ratatouille offers a sublime fine dining experience, whether you bring in a group of 40 people or if you are dining solo. Their food and presentation is inventive yet familiar and comforting. Their head chef, Sam and server Luca make every visit memorable with their warmth and attention to detail. This is an absolute MUST VISIT spot!

I took my mom because of the ratings and the duck on the menu. I also ordered the lobster poutine (sounds good, eh? Well, it isn't), the calamari and the ravioli (French sauce, apparently)... The poutine had two pieces of lobster, and the fries had that taste you get when you don't know how to fry them, and they get burned. Simply disgusting, and it costs 22 CAD. The calamari wasn't bad, but not good either, just average calamari, not an 18 CAD Calamari, no. The duck wasn't fresh, and the risotto that came with it was confusing and disappointing. The only decedent thing was the ravioli, but for 32 CAD, you should get two kilos of that ravioli. The place is simple and nice, and the service... He didn't care about going the extra mile. I prefer crossing the street and getting a burger...

I had heard about this new restaurant opening up but today was our first visit and it was amazing!! We went for brunch and the food was fabulous and we will definitely be back for lunch and dinner! The place is so charming and appealing the staff were super nice and helpful, service was too notch and the prices were reasonable. Have never had a better brunch anywhere and the flavours and food combinations were so great, not your boring typical brunch. You can tell the chef is passionate about food and it shows! Overall a great experience and a must try for everyone!!

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in Ottawa! The food was amazing and the presentation was spectacular. I enjoyed the salmon and cream cheese eggs benedict and I will be back to try their large selection of benedict. I also tried there soup of the day and it was delicious! The owner Sam came on the floor and he was very nice. If you looking for good food and an amazing atmosphere look no further, this is the place.

Came here for dinner on a weeknight. They’ve only been opened for about 7 weeks now but their food was great! The papaya salad was so good, the burrata made everything so creamy.The tartare was delicious and the sous vide lamb barged was so tender and tasty.One downside was only the heat, we came when it was super hot outside and they were experiencing AC issues, but everything else was great!

Great food, great service. Waiter was very kinda and attentive. All their dishes were tasty and beautiful to the eye. I had their crab cake eggs Benedict and it was amazing. Only problem was that it took us a while to get our food. We waited for maybe 30-40 minutes. But overall a great dining experience, would definitely return whenever I'm in Ottawa.

The food is fantastic and so vibrant! Everything was fresh, flavourful and beautiful! Would absolutely recommend for night out or a nice meal. The duck was probably my favourite dish. The crispy skin and tender juicy meat is one of the best duck dishes ive ever had!

Out of all the places I’ve eaten across the US (40+ states) and Canada in my 7 gears working in entertainment this restaurant in Ottawa has to be one of my favorites by far. The menu brung me in so if you see something you like chances are you will REALLY enjoy it. I tried to the scallop & lobster risotto and it blew my mind. Fantastic service from Matt from start to finish and a great ambiance all around. I plan on returning for breakfast, lunch and dinner before I leave Ottawa. 10/10 *ask for the sloppy steaks if you know you know
